So the patch that's coming out next week isn't going to fix my character and make the game playable. Bah! Oh well I'll just turn the difficulty down to casual and beat the game and be done with it. This whole experience has pretty much ruined the game for me anyway. I don't think I'll be purchasing any future Bioware games after this.

I don't think I'll be purchasing another bioware game either if these bugs aren't fixed. Shame since I've been a fan since baldur's gate.

I am NOT starting my warrior again for the third time. This game is being shelved and wont be coming out until I know at least several patches have happened. Can anyone from bioware at least acknowledge the CRAP this game has caused, the lazy design, the terrible story and pointless waste of time it is as an " epic rpg " Worse game they have made

Was this patch supposed to fix our characters? Because my Hawke is still slow as f***.

I think it just fixes it from getting worst. If your character has major slow down then you have no choice but to load a previous save where your character is exhibiting slow motion or start a new game.

I'm pissed about it and hoping for a patch that could retroactively fix it but it may be a lost cause and I may have to load a previous save and make up a few hrs of gameplay.

Yea this patch kinda sucks cause it doesnt fix the bug retroactively. Im having the same issue. I gotta go check earlier saves or start from the begining of the act. I hope the next patch comes sooner.

But that means I'll have to load a previous save where I'm not friends with Isabella! that's almost 38 hrs. of backtracking! Very sad indeed.

No I think you can load a save where the slow mo bug isn't affecting your character drastically. The last patch supposedly stopped the bug from getting any worse.

Take my character for example. I got as far as sundermount on Act 3 after having defeated the dragon and that is where my character is so slow he's unplayable. I loaded a previous save (autosave) before I fought the high dragon where my character is exhibiting signs of slowing down. Unfortunately the whole time I thought it was one of my party members spells slowing me down or something.

I then loaded an autosave to the beginning of Act 3, fought some thugs in Lowtown at night and my character seemed to be fighting at normal speed. Though in all likeliness my character at that point has a very minimal effect of the bug. Since it reduces your attack speed 5% each time my character would prob have -5 to -15% attack speed without the player being able to detect much difference.

What scares me though is that next to the mabari sign in my abilities it is showing Isabella's "thumbs up" even though she isn't in my party which is suppose to be the sign that you have the bug. So hopefully when they say it won't get any worse the bug, they don't mean BEFORE you get stuck with the   "thumbs up" even without Isabella in your party.

So I wait patiently. Of course it is extreme disrespect to the customer to give them a very flawed product that dragon age 2 has turned out to be. I'm sure they lost a ton of preorders from people, like myself, on their next games because of how bugged this one turned out. Poor poor game testing. They can come out and say this happens and they make mistakes...NO not when we the customers are expecting a product that WORKS. There's no excuse for it and they should come out and say it if not flat out apologize.

They should offer free DLC in response to this mess.

We'll be lucky if we even get some sort of apology for this. Doubt it.

I agree this is totally unacceptable. A gamebreaking bug of this nature should never have made it into a released product. The people at bioware need to work 24/7 to fix this. The minor bugs can wait this can't. I own every bioware game released going all the way back to Baldurs Gate and am sorely disappointed in them for this fiasco.

I was so excited for the patch until I read it didn't fix the issue if it already occurred. While the game isn't terrible, I would say it's the worst Bioware game I've played (including but not limited to the bug unfortunately). This game has been a huge letdown because I was a big fan of Bioware before DAII.
