It's annoying but there's no need to double post in obnoxious caps like a fool.

Same issue, part of the reason I enjoy Bioware games is for the hardest difficulties and as it stands I can only play on casual. Otherwise me taking 10 seconds to cast each spell isn't going to fly. This is unacceptable.

While I'm not angry or anything, I agree the needs to be solved. I'm getting the issue mid-act 2, very frustrating to play with. Hopefully it will be patched soon, as I don't have the patience to watch my character swing slower then in the first game.

I've also got the bug after spending who knows how many hours into my first playthough. After so much time, I get shot down by this ridiculous bug. Wtf, Bioware. Wtf.

Oh if only we had a way to punish them for this crap... I guess the bottom line is all that matters in the end.

Two weeks since this problem has been identified. If not a workable solution, how about an update on progress for fixing this game breaking bug Bioware? I love your games but I'm getting irritated.

I got sooooo lucky and never encountered this bug. However, I agree it is an inexcusable gamebreaking bug. Even more horrible that they haven't been communicating with us or given us any updates about a possible fix. I feel Bioware needs to apologize in some way or manner to make up for this. Free DLC, written apology, or something. I mean there is no way I can force them to do it, but if they did I know I'd feel better about the whole thing. As it stands, I do not think I will ever pre-order a bioware game ever again. I still enjoyed the game, but still, I can't just overlook this.

Check out Peter Thomas's post here:

http://social.biowar...9070/14#6647848

Saying it has something to do with the Maker's Sign potion from the Black Emporeum. Later they say that's not the only cause but that it's less likely to happen if you don't use it.

I started experiencing the bug late in Act 1, and by mid Act 2 my main character was all but unplayable.  The first time I actually used a Maker's Sigh on any of the charcters was when I was experimenting with it to try and fix the bug,  so I can confirm it's not the only cause at least.

I will say, it is a relief to see that Bioware has a few people working on it.  Granted that post was 8 days ago, but at least it's something.

Ya, I'm afraid to play it right now. I'm in act 2 and haven't noticed any bug, but Isabella has been in my party the whole time. When she leaves later on I'm afraid to see what happens til the bug is fixed.
My son finished his first playthrough last night with no bug but he never used Isabella or Sebastian so it was a non issue for him.

You can fix the issue by modding your save (check sig)

Use the program FirstBlight and all you have to do is change the value of your current attack speed to something high

I think about 30 is default

Sean but how do you mod a save (Check sig) on the 360?

Especially if you only own a mac and any modding program only works on PCs?

Unfortunately Wine takes too much time for installation and the 'polished' version called CrossOver with an installer doesn't work with FirstBlight at all.

It is nice to know at least that they've got people working on it. It would be nice to have an ETA on the fix.

I'll probably just end up doing this.

Thanks for the save editing guide.

I'm experiencing this bug as well. I've had the Sebastian bug for a while now and didn't realize it till I started getting my ass handed to me for no reason. I then got the Isabela bug when she left at the end of of Act 2. I refuse to keep playing and I also refuse to restart my game because I've been playing for almost 45 hours now. I've been so sucked into the game and having to stop and wait for a patch like this really breaks flow and ruins my experience.

I shouldn't have to make Isabela and Sebastian into rivals just for the sake of avoiding the bug. I want a patch ASAP so I can go back to enjoying the game. Here I thought that getting the game 2 weeks late would be good since any major issues would have been patched up. Guess I was wrong.

Oh, and I know this is off topic, but I read somewhere that Origins save transfer data isn't being read properly. I swear if Nathaniel doesn't show up or if Leliana doesn't talk about being in love with my warden, I am going to be really disappointed. <_<

Damn bugs. BioWare this is totally unacceptable! You have tons of fans who can't enjoy the game because of this problem. :(

We really need to let Bioware know that this is not acceptable. The next place to start taking complaints is the Amazon.com page. If you have an Amazon account you can review the game over there and talk about the bugs and the lack of developer feedback/communication letting us know what they are going to do to fix these issues.

And NO them saying 'we're working on it' is NOT sufficient. This is completely out of hand and not fair to anyone who purchased this game, whether they have experienced these bugs or not.

If you are apologizing for Bioware on these issues you are not helping anyone, especially Bioware. They can do better and the customers deserve better.

I'm not sure I'd go THAT far. Making an amazon account and stuff...that seems overboard just to complain. They aren't ignoring us, and they are fixing it. I realize that it's not something that can just be done overnight, but I'd like to see a little more effort on their part to please the fans. We aren't asking for much...I just want to play the game but I'm stuck.

I don't know why I keep checking these threads hoping for a response or indication of some sort of patch because every time I do I just get frustrated and angry about the whole thing.

I don't think people should make up fake amazon accounts. I have one, have for years. I bought the game from amazon. It just doesn't seem like Bioware is paying attention to its customers. Nver wanted to review my purchases on Amazon before whether good or bad. Then again I've never bought a game where the developers said a feature was IN GAME 2 days before release only to find out that said feature actually IS NOT in game. Feels pretty fraudulent to me and I don't like people taking the p and hustling me.

Any projection on how long it may be until a fix is available?
