I've only had time for one playthrough using the same imported save, so I was wondering what sorts of references there were to events imported. I've noticed a few things but my playthrough of DAO was pretty close to the Hero of Ferelden default history.
Also, I couldn't help but notice that Anders appears no matter what epilogue was earned in Awakening (I have a friend who lost him at the Vigil, while I got him to stay a Warden).
Just want to know other people's experiences.

For my Dalish Warden import, Merrill actually mentioned my Warden by name (Mahariel) on several occasions in investigative lines. Also met up with one of the Werewolves on the Wounded Coast in a very small encounter. Leliana referenced her relationship with the Warden (I used an Origins save, without Awakening and Witch Hunt) and acknowledged Isabella and their 'time' spent at The Pearl in Denerim, which was quite funny. Alistair appeared in Act III, since I threw him on the Fereldan Throne; he mentioned Loghain lived, since I spared him. Zevran mentioned in passing The Warden, when I met up with him at the Dalish Camp. A few other references were made, too, but I can't recall them all.

They are endless - the two games are completely tied together. These games are not about "The Warden" and "The Champion" - they are about Thedas (or the "Dragon Age Universe").
That is a bonus for the storyline - which is what we're talking about (the game is another matter to me).

I just personally didn't see a whole lot of references. I heard mention of King Alistair, the werewolf thing, and Avernus' research (though it seemed to think I allowed Avernus' to continue his experiments on Wardens). Maybe my playthrough was too bland?

5 seconds of Leliana at the end. Although I suppose that really depends on which story you import.
I had her hardened and nuked myself on the tower but in other play throughs I can see this not being a possibility.

I believe only "Origins" is used for the save. (That's what I've read - I could easily be wrong.)
Bodahn and Sandal (especially our boy Sandal)
Flemeth
Alistair shows up (in mine)
Cullen
Leliana
Isabella
Ferelden and the Warden are constantly referenced.
I noticed you were talking about save imports - while I was talking about the storyline in general. It truly seems like Bioware is concentrating on the world as a uniform whole (a good thing in my opinion).

^You get more of her if you have Sebastian. She saves your butt in the chantry. The way bioware ties their games together always brings a smile to my face, and it was no different here.
