Why? Let's say that neither baldurs gate nor origins ever existed. DA2 is the first bioware of that style that you have ever played. Are you still as disappointed?

The problem is, is that there will always be zombies who will find something to complain about. I mean, seriously, prime evidence that evolution doesn't exist. You think people would learn that they don't have control over how the game is going to turn out. Yet they continue to launch nukes at the development team. And they're so ungrateful. Bioware gives you an awsome game, yet you throw it down because it isn't the same as the other. If you kept getting the same exact phone every time you get an upgrade, would you be happy? No. Because it's paying more money for what you already have. If bioware made DA2 exactly like origins, we would be paying money for what we already have. I played origins. I loved it. I'm playing DA2. I love it just as much. People need to learn to enjoy games as they play them. Go into the game with a fresh mindset. Forget about Origins. Play DA2 for what it is, a whole new game. Don't compare it to Origins. In fact, don't compare it to anything. If you learn how to do this, I promise you will enjoy it even more.

If this were Bioware's first game I would like the game for what it is, and most likely not play DA3 until Steam had it for $5.

But its not.

I WANT to pay $60 for a good Bioware game, never again Bioware, never again. On the plus side Steam sales rock, and bad games become good games at $5.

ME2 was a minor shock - this is more so.

Drogo you are the most unreasonable and belligerent person I have ever seen post, so your opinion on "excellent posting" and "voices of reason" are highly invalid. Your fanboy panties are in such a knot that you all you do is spew "Oh you don't like the game that makes you wrong". Guess what, I enjoyed the game, and I'm still calling you a filthy ****. If people don't like the game it doesn't make them wrong.

i wouldnt say theres anything really wrong with the changes as much as the fact that theres no depth to this game at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i could give to ****s if they changed the combat its about the moral choices and the journey and yet i find myself stuck in a dam city for 95% of this game.... atleast origins gave me the illusion that it was vast and open world \\. I feel like im in another game it just dosnt look or feal the same. a lot of us play a lot of games so it bothers us to see these things that more casual gamers dont see such as overused maps etc. Yes every game has flaws and da origins was no different but u dont make a second game and remove its major aspects thats just not right its like betrayal and hell i knew what was going to happen before i bought this game yet i bought it anyway becouse i love dragon age and i support bioware but i dont support ea when they rush things that need a good development stage. Thats why you dont see half life or starcraft released yearly. there is a difference between flaming and expressing dislike i paid 60 dollars for this game and as a consumer i have the right to voice my opinion.

Yes. There is much to gripe about it's not that the game is "worse" than it's predecessor but that it feels rushed and poorly put together but yet a constant stream of DLC I can't even remotely keep track of presents itself. Add that to the confusing story, the bugs, the useless and uninteresting sidequests, and the inclusion of SecuRom (Read the Reclaimyourgame article) and yes I'm pretty displeased. I like things about the game but so much of it is dwarfed (Bu dun ting) by the fact that the game presents itself poorly and as their score producer Zur said in his interview they were releasing the game in a rush to capitalize on Origins success so why shouldn't it be based on the credits of it's predecessor? I payed for a rushed game and regret it.

I don't "HATE" the game though I'm just very disappointed and wouldn't have bought it had I known I'd suffer such a penalty for it.

Let us see, I cannot "fiddle" with my companions equipment
the game is one fetch quest after another
the game is very small, & you revisit the same areas over & over again
Lack of customization
Watercolor graphics

There, not a single comparison rant

I play tabletop RPGs - my expectations do not come from other video games.

My issue will be that I enjoy the story - but I do not like where the gameplay is going. I dropped Mass Effect because of 2 (stopped it in the middle and never looked back). I don't like the story nearly as much - and with both the story and gameplay lacking (for me) I find no need to waste my money further (on DLC or ME 3)

Dragon Age will be another matter - while I'll likely save on some DLC, I'll probably end up getting 3 (or future installments for the story - put it on casual and ignore the gameplay altogether)

Now sir I request that you calm down and think clearly your monitor did nothing wrong it merely displayed but it was told and your keyboard harbors no ill will towards it. However, if you find yourself within a few feet of the designers/developers then by all means find a blunt object and have at it :P.

the OP was troling but you didnt even read what he writed you just looked at the ratings xD

we dont "hate" this game, we just think that bioware is taking the wrong path and we are trying to make them see this so they can go back to make great games.

Yes, the constant recycling of areas is ridiculous.  Oblivions dungeons got pretty stale quite quickly, but they were the epitome of diversity compared to this.

Were you trying to argue for or against DA2? Since if you were trying to argue for, you kinda shot yourself in the foot.

First off, Diablo is a league apart from the style of DA2, and even then, random dungeon = polar opposite of same dungeon over and over.

I think we are forgetting that DA:O used a number of recycled zones. At least when I come through the same zone the second time in DA2 they have the decency to say
"oh look at this new door that is open now, how exciting!"

In all, I am frustrated by general lack of polish. I see the diamond in the ruff and I don't regret paying for it, but I still wish I could have been delivered a polished and cut gem that will keep my interest.

DLC always seems like an obvious carrot. I'd rather just wait for Diablo 3. Blizzard at least has yet to let me down. (my personal opinion, it's not an objective evaluation of Blizzard,)

You don't get it. They never "turned the game into" anything. DA2 has always been DA2. It IS NOT origins. But people just don't get that.
