Hi everyone. Please use this thread to post any issues you're encountering that are SPECIFIC TO THE PROLOGUE & ACT 1 of the game.

While we're making an attempt to capture the various issues posted in individual threads, this will give us a nice central place to begin collecting and addressing these.

Thanks!

Hi,

I know it's not strictly on topic, but are you reporting the transgaming issues to them? Specifically the installer failing on some Macs, there's a thread with the details. Or should we find somewhere else to do that?

I've encountered a bug that prevents me from continuing the game. During the confrontation with the templars at the end of "Act of Mercy", Thrask dies and thus leaves me unable to finish the quest. I've read elsewhere in the forums that Thrask was erroneously set to be mortal, even though all other plot-essential NPC's are invincible. When can we expect a fix for this issue, specifically for savegames made after Thrask's death?

Probably not a Mac specific issue, but...

Act: 1
Map: Docks/Day
Quest: Finder's Keeper

After tricking the guards to the Woodrow's Warehouse by yelling "Fire!", they run off but all get stuck two blocks down the street on a corner, never to disappear, even if the quest is over and I leave the map and come back later.

Hard Crashes at Radom Load Screens .. have to reboot .. lod screen appears.. mouse still works, music "hangs" in a loop .. loading icon stops moving

this happens especially in act 1 (6 out of 10) .. Crashes in act 2 and 3 are far less frequent

I do run into several NPCs without arms and/or hands. Or with holes in their bodies. Doens't matter if graphics are set on high or low.

Hi,

I just recently purchased dragon age 2 for my mac and have been enjoying it so far. No bugs very smooth game play and good story line until now. I was doing on of the quests, wayward son, and got up to when u kill the slave boss down in darktown, the quest chain then leads u to the wounded coast where u must go into the slaver caverns. when i leave darktown to go to the wounded coast i find that my load screen freezes. I tried restarting the game to no avail, my whole computer seems to stop working. I restarded my comp and tried to move to another part of the map, all seem to work except for wounded coast.

Does anyone have an idea how i can fix this, or is it just a bug that i should report to Bioware?

thanks alot in advance for anyones help

Hi Mr Bartel,

I installed and completed DA2 on a PC. Now, i am replaying it on a Macbook Air and installed the black emporium for the MAC. However, after installing the black emporium it is still completely absent from my game. Its not in the downloadable content section... not anywhere. I also found that my character seems to be missinh from my bioware folder in documents.

Help!

Nevermind, FIXED IT! I sort of messed around with the characters folder in my MAC. and that screwed everything and prevented my game from updating itself with the add-ons. I erased and re-installed MAC OSX and then installed da2. All is back to normal now.

I just installed it today. It found an update and seems to have installed it. In the Prologue, the guy gets dragged into the room, some Pendergast lady asks him about a champion, the screen freezes and a goldish colored book covers everything. I don't know anything other than a hard restart to get my Mac back.
