May have the Merril bug (did 3 conversations with her in a row not sure if one was mourning or not)
Also, and most importantly, the Fool's Gold/Finding Nathaniel bug. (Nathan lived and went to seek his fortune in Awakening, But I got the fool's gold quest in act 2. When the guide claims I shouldn't have) I have heard the devConsol can re-activate the Nathan quest but I'm not sure how to do that if anyone can help/

Just do what I'm doing. Create a new character/class and play up until the same point as your first character. Hopefully by then they'll have the quest bugs fixed and we'll be able to continue on from our orginal character. It just sucks playing through Act 1 again so soon.Tamahome560 wrote...
Same and it's killing me since I won't have much time to play during the weekend...

Yes. Companion armor upgrades - like threads of eastern seas - automatically get applied to the appropirate individual. Just hover on their armor in the invent screen and it should show which upgrades are in it (the name will appear along with the effect, or if it just adds a rune slot, there will be no name). Example: 2 of Fenris' upgrades are just rune slots. So 2 of the 4 blocks under his armor would be lit up but when you hover on the armor it won't say any upgrade names, just show that it has 2 slots.sean-camel wrote...
It doesn't go into your inventory. It goes to Aveline automatically, it's her armor.
Oh I see - thanks for explanation. Does it mean "threads of eastern seas" are part of Isabella's costume then?
Thank you very much for reply . It makes more sense now

You have to enable developers console and use this command: ''runscript zz_mrl_debug'' When the wheel comes up select Main Quest--------->Act II Mirrors Image-------->1-Start - Merrill Notify
This will transport you to the Lowtown where Merrill will trigger the quest. Proceed with the quest. After finishing it you should get Back From Sundermount quest and If Merril has 50% or more friendship/rivalry Questioning Beliefs will be triggered. If you used enough flirt options throughout both acts she will visit you in the estate. This is it for ACT II I think.
EDIT: Also you should only get the Mourning quest if Carver/Beth died. If they are alive after Deep Roads you should only get Consoling Words quest. I guess the conflict between these 2 causes the problems in ACT II.

After speaking with the Arishok about how to handle Petrice, the conversation loops again.
The Fixer
I
attacked the assasin in the Docks and left the area. The journal says
that the body wasn't disposed of. When I return, I can't interact with
the dead body so the quest is left unfinished.

Those battle cries aren't Carver, they're Varric. Varric says "How many have you got Hawke?"
Thanks but neither Varric nor Carver are in the party.
I get the "did you see that? That was all me!!" (paraphrased) cry which was Carver's. (I think)
I get the "how many have you got Hawke" cry even when Isabela is my only rogue and Varric is chilling in his posh digs in the Hanging man.
I hear male voices even when I have an all girls party!

Well Tamahome, I didn't get Consoling Words, either. :-P
If it didn't auto complete it self like mourning does than you can trigger it using the same console command I posted earlier. Instead go to Other Dailog-->Act2--->(And I don't remember the name of the option but it is at the top of the wheel on the right hand side)
How to enable the dev console (Borrowed from Dragon Age Wikia):
Make a shortcut to your "DragonAge2.exe" file (typically located in the C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age II\\bin_ship folder) on your desktop, Start Menu, or wherever. Right click on the shortcut, choose properties, then add the following to the end of line in the "Target" field: -enabledeveloperconsole
Open the file "\\BioWare\\Dragon Age II\\Settings\\KeyBindings.ini" in your 'My Documents' folder. Open the file in Notepad, or Notepad++ preferably, then find the line that says "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X" (GRAVE is default, change X to any button that is not already used in the game). You can also leave it as "Keyboard::Button_GRAVE" and then use the "backtick" character, which is located under the tilde. For Steam it seems binding the console to Tilde doesn't work for some people. Try binding the console to F6 if all other options failed.
Every command typed in is invisible so you will only know if you got it right after pressing enter.

As such, I am unable to complete the following quests:
MAIN:
Prime Suspect
Offered And Lost
COMPANIONS:
The Long Road
Family Matter
I dont get past the loading screen with The Hanged Man. It crashes while loading.
I get into hightown, but the enemies I meet are not visible aside from one (I think she was an "invisible sister" funnily enough). They dont have the red rings around where their feet should be etc.
My party members automatically attack but I cant target anything.
The game crashes (blue screen) during the fight or as soon as the enemies are dead.
I have tried getting past this by changing graphics settings to their lowest (DX9, windowed, all extra settings stripped).

My System:
Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM

I have completed the Herbalists Task for Act 2, securing all the things he desired. In my quest log, they all show checked (marked as completed) but the quest remains active. Is this normal behaviour?
Note, I turned in the Ink first. Then I went and did other quests and obtained the Heart and the Flower before revisiting the Herbalist. I gave him these two items at the same time. If this is relevant.

First, the quest takes place in Run Down Alley.
Second, "Kanky" Hammertoe did not drop the helm. I even reloaded a previous save to try the quest again, and still he did not drop it.

I also have the problem of Merrill's "Mourning" auto-completing at the start of Act 2. Like others, I have unwillingly had to postpone my playthrough and await a fix.
The mourning itself is not much of a miss. They only talk about Carver/Beth dying in the Deep Roads.
You can fix Merril storyline this way (I have no idea how it affects the rest of the game so use at your own risk):
If you do get ''Consoling Words'' quest for Merrill than do it. If no matter how many main quests you do her quest does not come up than do this:
Use console command in dev console ''runscript zz_mrl_debug'' When the wheel comes up select Main Quest--------->Act II Mirrors Image-------->1-Start - Merrill Notify. This will start her main quest for ACT II and will further the romance plot if you are romancing her the right way.
If you do not get ''Consoling Words'' than do this: Use console command ''runscript zz_mrl_debug'' go to Other Dailog-->Act2--->(And I don't remember the name of the option but it is at the top of the wheel on the right hand side).
Type ''runscript zz_mrl_debug'' without the quotation marks!

I reloaded from an earlier stage to troubleshoot. When I turned in the items individually (Ink First - Went and got Heart, turned it in, went and got blossom, turned it in) the quest completes normally.
Appears the issue is if you turn in multiples at once. I'm not going to test to see if it was only the heart + the blossom that caused the bug.

I turned in Ink and Flower together first, Vaterall's Heart later and the quest completed.

This was a small spinning disc, similar to the loading icons in the demo version.
At that point the game was frozen with the "Loading..." icon spinning. I had to close the game with task manager.
Playing on PC, DX11 enabled, high res texture pack installed.

I zoned into the docks at night, and found Aveline fighting the 3 city guards that are usually standing against the wall.
