I have the same problem mentioned before with the "Lowdown" quest. Lowdowns won't spawn. Anyone knows if it's possible to force the spawning with the editor?

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned. I don't have time to read through this entire thread. The Raiders on the Cliffs quest is bugged for me in Act 2. It worked fine on my first playthrough, but on this one...several of the raiders don't turn into enemies. They just stand there and you can never attack them or complete the quest. Talking to the guard that gave the quest causes her to repeat her dialogue again in a loop. Others have posted about this elsewhere it seems, and it apparently happens if you enter the Wounded Coast and leave it without triggering and doing this quest first.

Of course, I'd now have to redo a ton of gameplay to load a save prior to ever entering The Wounded Coast in order to do this quest. Yay.

Edit, after long tries I've discovered that this "bug" do not prevent the completition of the quest. The Lowtons have some problem triggering the attack to your party: I don't know why. But you can force the attack by visiting every (and I mean every) place of the map in the docks. If you are facing that problem, probably there is one enemy of the previous waves you have defeated who has not spawn because you have not reach a certain position.

But even in the final level of the fight, they do not attack me in mass: I had to go to them to force their hostility. So, something is bugged but you can finish the quest.

(PC version of DA2)

During the Fade part of the quest Night Terrors, there's two puzzles where you have to move around some barrles in order to recieve bonus attribute points.

When I click the barrels one of three occurs:
1. Nothing happens - as in the barrel doesn't move. This counts toward the limit of "barrel-pushing". I can for instance press the required barrel more than 10 times and the demons spawn, without the barrel ever being moved.
2. The barrel moves, but in a wrong direction. It doesn't seem to matter in which angle towards the barrel my character is placed, nor on which side of the barrel I press with the mouse. It seems completely random.
Also - there's a chance a barrel moves beneath the floortiles, and I'm unable to ever press the same barrel again.
3. The barrel moves 'correctly' (as in the direction it's supposed to in order to complete the puzzle without the demons spawning).

So far I've been trying to autosave each time the barrel moves in the right direction on my first press, then moving on to the next barrel, reloading if this barrel fails to move or moves incorrectly, etc.

This happens in both barrel puzzles, and so far the auto-load/autosave progression has taken 2 hours, and I'm only on my 3rd move <_<

EDIT: It would seem it's just the barrels not moving visually. Even if a barrel doesn't seem to move, I can actually click the new barrels that are available after you click the first ones. So by just clicking in the ordered sequence (looked it up on google,  try this link(SPOILER) if you have similar issues) the quest is solved, and the bonus attribute points are earned.
This means that it's the graphics not updating correctly, while the mechanics (ie. the sequence of pushing barrels) are still working.

On 2nd play, attempting to romance Isabella and getting a strange bug with her "threads of the Eastern Seas". Directly after the "romance" scene in the estate she begins talking and is obviously in the slightly altered version of her attire mentioned on the DA wikia. Then as soon as Hawke is given a dialogue choice Isabela is dressed back in the original version and I receive the item for the Threads message once conversation is completed no matter the dialogue option chosen. I'm playing a female mage, signature edition with the dx11 graphics patch...

Anyone else seen this? (and perhaps know if she'll get the updated attire with the red sash around her arm and extra detailing later as the game progresses and the bug just may be seeing it early?)

Disappearing skills!
I have posted this elsewhere but it happened for the 3rd straight time in the same area so I suspect there is a bug. It involves the exploding flask skill that stuns enemies. It frequently occurs in the quest going to Varric's brothers house and the taint of the Lyrium Relic. About a third of the way into this and battling the 'crazed' guards the skill suddenly disappears from the numbered list at the bottom of the screen. It is the same time that Hawk earns the right to a higher Level skill. Yet the exploding flask is shown as active in the skill tree yet is not available to him. In playing a rogue this skill is crucial especially when confronting a large number of enemies.
There is another problem that might be mine only and that is in a battle Hawk takes the 'ready' stance but will not attack any enemies you click on. I am not taking about the ones scheduled to 'die' in the next second but the other 'active' enemies.

Not sure if it's a bug or intended behavior, but I'll mention it just in case. During Act 2 when I'm talking to Fenris in his "Questioning Beliefs" quest, where you learn about his past, there was no way to get either rivalry or friendship points from the talk in this quest, regardless of which dialogue options were chosen. I made a thread about it here, before stumbling across this thread:

http://social.biowar...6/index/6701084

To reiterate, I was playing a male warrior Hawke, with around 75% friendship with Fenris, not romancing him, on PC. Tried various dialogue choices, all resulting in no friendship or rivalry whatsoever, which seemed somewhat odd.

I also have the same problem with my warrior Hawke, where his combat animations have slowed down dramaticly.
All of his other animations up to him drawing his weapon and the in combat animations of all companions are working fine and smooth, only his in combat animations are drasticly slowed down and this is making the game much less fun to play for me.
I can not recall when it happened, only that it happened somewhere during act 2.
I have also tried different versions of Hawke, including another warrior and they worked just fine.

I'm having the same issue with the barrel puzzles, and used the "save" every time a barrel actually moved properly.  There was always a point where after 20-30 reloads that it became clear the barrel in question would never move, and the puzzles were both irreparably broken, at least for me.

I tried your trick of clicking the spot where the barrel was supposed to be even those its image had not moved, but no luck.  If there wasn't a barrel image, the hand icon never appeared in that spot, so clicking wasn't an option.

There's a bug in "All That Remains" when you need to either meet Gamlen in Lowtown at night or Gascard DuPuis in Darktown. If you go to Lowtown night and see Gamlen talking to the kid but don't click on him, then go to Darktown and finish the quest with DuPuis, Gamlen and the kid will still be there in Lowtown night for the rest of the Act.

I haven't clicked on them after completing the quest to see what happens.

1. Unable to properly finish the quest "Sketchy on the Details". The elf gives the player a reward of a staff, but no EXP, gold, or quest completion is earned. Note on the wiki states that the follow up quest in ACT III cannot be done without completing this.

2. Mistress Selby is bugged. After completion of her two quests, if you choose to talk to her again she gives you 1 sovereign and says thank you for no absolutely reason, then vanishes from the game halfway through the dialog. I am quest sure this was not intended as she literally seems to just be deleted from the game altogether.

In the Prime Suspect quest, I chose not to believe Gascard Dupuis and battle him to the death. However, after the second wave of shades, Gascard just stands there, and the door behind him is magically blocked. I guess the trigger did not go off.

Party: fighter hawke, isabella, merill, sebastian

i notice same issues with other triggers not going off  both main story and side story quest:crying:  or eving triggering at wrong times

In Act 2 the “How to Frame a Templar” quest when completed causes the quest pointer for the boxes in the Gallows to not disappear.

In Act 2 the “Raiders on the Cliffs” quest you can keep talking to Lieutenant Harley for unlimited boosts to Aveline friendship meter. ( I am ashamed to admit I used this to max it)

In Act 2 the “Sketchy on the Details” quest when it is completed, doesn’t disappear from the journal also Sketch doesn’t disappear.

I ran into this one to and it can give you either max rivalry or max friendship if you abuse the glitch enough. It turns out though that I still had one enemy alive without realizing it and thats what seems to allow you to gain the infinite friendship/rivalry. Once I killed the last enemy though the glitch could no longer be exploited.

Can't firnd the search function for the forum, so this may have been mentioned elsewhere. In the quest where Aveline is wooing the guard (The Long Road?) after the 3rd fight (agsinst the slavers, including the slaver mage), I cannot click on the signal fire (I've searched all over the screen, from all kinds of angles, but it's as if the location isn't clickable). I may have clicked on the signal fire during the fight,  I don't know. Reloading a saved game from after the fight doesn't help the issue unfortunately.

Hi everyone. Please use this thread to post any issues you're encountering that are SPECIFIC TO ACT 2 of the game.

While we're making an attempt to capture the various issues posted in individual threads, this will give us a nice central place to begin collecting and addressing these.

Thanks!

RE: Fenris

I purchased 2 Fenris companion armor upgrades from Hightown [Jean Luc Robes] and Lowtown [Shady Merchandise].  When I go into inventory screen for Fenris and hover mouse over his armor, neither upgrade appears.   I found an additional Fenris armor upgrade during Fenris companion quest and that is showing on his armor.   Three out of four rectangular bars are highlighted below his armor.  Presuming the armor upgrades were applied.  Yet I can't be sure.  It would be nice to know what the armor upgrades were so I could see the stats on his armor.

I have a bug with barrels in the fade. For both sets of barrels they do not work properly. Occasionally I can get 1 to actually move but usually not. They just fade in and fade out. Without them moving I can't tell which ones to click. Was able to complete by luck on one play through but with second character no luck, it was just to much of a pain to try try again. I tried adjusting graphics settings, rebooting and restarting game etc nothing helped. I have a graphics card with 1gig ram and otherwise it plays the game great. Tried with high textures on and off. Noticed many post on this bug on other sites but not many here. If anyone else has this bug please speak up so it will be fixed.

Also since installing the textures the game has gotten a bit finicky, it slows a bit sometimes, its harder to get items like chest to click on and where before the game never locked up, I've had one lock up and 1 crash since I installed them. I turned them off but the issues still happen. I can play but it is an annoyance and since my system should be able to use them it would be nice to. The problems do not make it unplayable but it is frustrating.

Yes, I have this too, as have others.  It's been mentioned in this thread, but it never hurts to reiterate!  In my case, barrels either don't move, or move the wrong way until the maximum number of 18 "clicks" have been recorded, spawning the fight scene.  Trying to save and reload after every "correct" barrel didn't work either, because eventually there was always one barrel that refused to move correctly after 20-30 reloads.  I'm ashamed to say I wasted two hours trying to do these puzzles, because I really wanted the reward... The One True Pantaloons: quest marker above the Impeccable Bulf (Hightown market/day) stays. The quest is completed in the journal and you also can't talk to him anymore, but the quest marker stays until you totally leave the map (and re-enter).

throughout the game: right-click sometimes is disabled. It simply doesn't work anymore - you cannot attack, pick up loot, open chest. They all still sparkle (chests, loot) or have a target ring around them (enemies), but aren't clickable. Save and re-load usually does work but it's annoying - especially during a fight.

The quest "Who Needs Rescuing" is bugged. On all my play-thrus, I go to the wounded coast and a "Bandit Leader" shows up in an out of the way camp area but nothing happens. He is not selectable, does not aggro...just stands there. I have played thru on warrior and mage with different people in my party each time and this happened each time resulting in that quest being unfinished.

I also have the "sketchy on the details" bug: He gives me the staff but no exp and no quest completion, quest does not move to the completed section and that arrow remains over sketch's head.

And i have the "fool's gold" bug: nathaniel survived in Awakening and i went and completed the "fool's gold" quest without realizing anything was wrong. Patiently waiting for the patch now. :P

Is there any way we can use the developer's console to fix the "sketchy" problem? Also, dragonage.wikia.com provides us a way to use the developer's console to obtain the "finding nathaniel" quest if it doesn't appear. I'd like to know if i can complete both "fool's gold" and "finding nathaniel" quests without any serious repercussions. If a patch fixes this issue, would i still have to return to the point before i accepted the "fool's gold" quest to activate the "finding nathaniel" quest in Act III?

Mike, I think the other two upgrades on Fenris armor are rune slots-see if you have those on there, and fill them, and the broody elf should be good to go kill what needs killin'...

I am having issues on Fools Gold and not being able to open the chest. Also, I have noticed that no matter which version of Hawke I play, I get slowdowns in combat, and also on going into crowded rooms. When I first had directx 11 up and running, I was getting 60fps.. now, it is back to 34, and on slowdowns, I get around 10.

When Warden Alistair leaves with Carver (after Qunari fight) and he hands me an amulet.. I get two completely different dialogues from Alistair at the same time. One starts slightly before the other so I can hear what he is saying in both, but it is very annoying.

Edit:  One he states that this belongs to a friend and the other he says belongs to the love of his life.

I think I have a bug too. I've got the same problem with Hubert being missing despite having finished the primary quests. He's not at his store and there is no store chest either. The people at the Bone Pitt are milling around but no quests are available and the Pitt itself is not a transition.

Is there a way to force him to show up, I wonder.
