I killed Fenris (romance)

And in the Epilogue Varric said Hawke and Fenris escaped to the fields.

Not major issues but just annoying :

1. Nathaniel saying the warden spared the architect when he is dead in the game I imported

2. When doing the Scrolls : Pride Unbound quest in Act 3, I kill the demon but my party stay in combat mode and I can't exit the area. If I exit the game, then do the fight again it seems to work, but it is annoying.

3. game crashes as soon as Leliana appears when doing the Faith quest, reloading fixes it.

Nice to see 1.2, but although Merril doesn't give the ending talk anymore, while going to hunt the excrement crystals for Anders still triggers him questioning if it's safe to bring Merril along because of her demon. And I still haven't even started the a new path quest or whatever it is called. Don't know if it was supposed to be fixed in the patch but thought it would be appropriate to tell it for just in case.

A few short questions:

I just got the Merrill bug where the end of "A New Path" plays right at the beginning of Act III. I just finished the quest itself and am obviously not getting the ending dialogue since it's already done. The options I chose beforehand somewhat coincided with what I actually did (worst possible choices), but this all brings me to my question:

Are there any other bugs related to Merrill I should be aware of, assuming there are no other quests for her? (Is there anything else?) Also, does the bug I just experienced glitch anything else in the game, such as future quests, Merrill romance, etc..?

Or does everything else function as normal as can be?

(Patch was released after I started and played through the first bit of Act III.)

It occurs after main campaign ends. If you have Orana in your estate and you finish game she disappears :( Please fix this, so she is still tere even after main campaign. Thank you

I was mostly (80%) rival with Merill. After the New Path quest, I get the questiong beliefs quest, and Merill stands before the mirror and accousing me to work for the Keeper and not letting her save her people with the mirror. After that, she cames to Hawke's mansion and the romance dialogue starts (never used any <3 options on her. I hate the broke up dialog, I think the lines are the worst maybe in the whole game, so stucked with the "it was just a flick"). After that nothing happens, no dialog about the keeper's death or like the 'New Path' never happened.

+One small thing: at the end, missing the "except Isabela of course" part, while I had the last kiss and dialog.

After applying patch 1.02 the quest "Who Needs Rescuing" is no longer available. The letter that starts the quest doesn't appear in Hawke's Mansion and there is no entry for the quest in my journal.
As the result neither the bandits nor the kidnapped woman appear on the Wounded Coast

Not sure if this was posted, can't find anything with the forum's search. Rather weird bug in Best Served Cold. I play a mage, Carver is dead, and I didn't have anders in my party. He was the love interest. Now in Best Served Cold, they say Anders was taken hostage, and when I changed my party members, I saw I could pick Anders. So I did, and to my amusement, I now have Anders saving himself. Here's a screenshot of the momentous occasion:

When I accepted the Justice quest I couldn't go to the sewers despite the entrance showing on the map. Later, when I get the quest On The Loose I can finally go there but there is no Aaela Paetra or whatever I was supposed to look for, only the abomination.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was another entrance.

At the end of A New Path

Go out for the confrontation and back in the cave and the keeper's body lights like it can be looted but can't.

Anyone else get this?

This thread covers the half of it Basically I got fools gold in act 2. I'm told that those who get that don't get Nathaniel's quest. This pissed me off. So I used the CLUA Console to activate nathaniels quest. Low and behold the dwarf who got screwed over in fools gold (Merin I think?) was one of the grey wardens you had to save.

He's got dialog and everything. But After killing the 2nd darkspawn group and we save the the first warden Temmerin Glavonak (Plus Merin for me since I did fools gold) the dialog stops in the middle of the conversation and I just stand there and Temmerin still has the arrow above his head. I went ahead past them and fought all the darkspawn, saved Carver, and low and behold the quest was completed.

Merin and Temmerin were still there with the arrow above their head. I talked to them again and it started as normal except with an invisible talking howe. It stopped right in the middle again but I had completed the quest so I left. (EDIT: This weird thing was the only thing keeping me from having a perfect playthrough. Everything else has worked perfectly since I started a new game once I got patch 1.02 [I have revised this a few times since I didn't quite understand the glitch. I always loaded a new save after howe and temmerin stopped talking mid conversation. silly me])

I'm Curious about the "Finding Nathanial" Quest as this is the first time I've gotten the quest in a play through. Now this play through I made Beth a Grey Warden. And when after I completed the Finding Nathanial quest and he rewards you and leaves. I check the place out to make sure I didn't miss anything and Bethany is standing there in the middle of the final room before you go up the stairs to exit the area. Tried talking to her and all she says is something about May Andraste protect us or something along those lines. And when I left she was still standing there. Is this a Bug?

Also Didn't get Avelines final armor upgrade when I did her "Favor and Fault" quest which I've seen from other post that this is a known bug.

After 1.02 install I have been having issues with the "Justice" quest. Even though I completed the quest (either helping or refusing to help Anders distract the grand cleric after gathering all of the materials), the quest never completes. In my last play through the quest was stuck on I needing to speak to Anders, and this play through I still need to distract the grand cleric.

I noticed a desync in the audio and lip movements of Bethany in Act 3. When she speaks the line "Don't do this! Don't make me choose between my people and my family." Her lips stop moving after "Don't do this!"

She was pressed into the Circle at the end of act 1 and my Hawke sided with the templars. The line takes place during one of the final confrontations in act 3 wherein Anders does his guy fawkes thing.


Edit: Not really a bug but I would request the ability to refuse Sebastian's offer to join the party in Act 2 and onward. I.e. do the exiled prince DLC's quests without him.

I take it that your not really a fan of Sebastian's either.Image IPB Unfortunatly like all the individual NPC quests you can only do them with the paticular NPC in the party. Makes it hard to do a solo run through the game.

I love most of the characters, but Sebastian is just so... I don't really mind the character itself but the way he completely wrecks the Anders guy fawkes scene with his melodramatic crap. I'd axe him for that alone.

Or hm, a mod that makes him auto-die if he's not in the party when that triggers. Yesssss.

 Merrill is my issue.. She , no matter what you do.., will not go against you if you side with the templers. You can loose almost every companion BUT NOT her.. This really needs to be fixed. and when and if fixed, it clearly needs to be stated what are the conditions for loosing her.

@Woofy128 I will have to agree that Sebastion and Merril both can be melodramatic. Anders is to Emo IMO. The main ones I enjoyed playing through with is Varric, Issy, and Feneric. Oh and of course Beth but unfortunately you lose her after the first Act which I think bites big time.

@Cyakura will have to agree I don't take Merrill with me cept to do her quests. Other than that there I leave her in the Alienage. Going to go through the game 1 more time and I'm leaving Merril and Anders at home cept to do their quests. Not really a fan of mages. I won't even play one.

One more thing would love to be added . Once the game is over and Varric tells the final thing to Cassandra about Hawk how all left Hawk side for one reason or other, would like that Bethany /Carver to be added to it. I am always wandering what happens to brother or sister once Hawk left. Personnally would like them to accompany the Champion.

Another thing I noticed on a recent playthrough is something during the lead-up to the final battle. Fenris had turned on me for siding with the mages. He walks in with a squad of city guardsmen. Considering their captain was with me and she'd told me they were staying out of the fighting, that didn't make a whole lot of sense. If it was Aveline turning on me? Yeah, perfect. Fenris... not so much. Maybe replace those guardsmen mobs with equivalent templars? I can't think of what other kind of baddies would be appropriate to Fenris in that situation.

Now I fully agree with this as you never know what happens to your sibling thats still alive at the conclusion. As for Carver he was always dead before we got to Kirkwall. Heard he only lives if you play a Mage. Sorry I'm not wearing no dress.<LOL>

I've hit a bug with The Hanged Man. My male warrior abandoned Fenris to the Magister, so he was taken away. This seems to now have broken The Hanged Man during the day. If I try to go to The Hanged Man - Day, I get the character selection screen, and Fenris is back and locked as the middle option. Completing the team, I'm thrown back into the Magister appearance video sequence. Upon exiting with any option, I'm in an empty Hanged Man. The "Gather Your Group" thing is gone, and the door out is now just a regular door, which opens into a wall. The only other person in building other than the group (with Fenris) is Fenris' sister, near the stairs. She cannot be interacted with.

The only way out is to revert to a save from before entering The Hanged Man.

This is for the PC, Signature Edition, with the Mage/Rogue/Warrior packs installed and patched to 1.02.

Anyone else see this one yet?
