- Who Needs Rescuing quest, with the static Bandit Leader standing in the Wounded Coast completely uninteractable.
- Hawke fighting in super slomo - this started happening at the beginning of the end-game battle (with Orsino in the Gallows) and persisted until the end of the game.
- Varric's ending narration - I hooked up with Isabela early on but romanced Anders (and successfully completed it), yet Varric says I stayed with Isabela.
Also, unsure if this is a bug - after Merrill's quest at Sundermount (Keeper died, did not kill the Dalish clan), nothing followed. I was expecting some sort of followup dialogue with Merrill about what happened at Sundermount, but this never occurred. Still had overall friendship with Merrill though, and she was at my side at the end.

I was also surprised that I couldn't talk to Merrill about her clan being dead. I thought this was too significant to end so soon.fthg42 wrote...

- i played DAO, Awakening and WH (no golems) - the import i used was from WH
- it reported everything correctly when i imported... here are the problems
- Zevran = Alive.. i killed him in the first one
- Howe reports the architech is alive.. when i killed him
- I've read above that lilliana says the warden can't be found.. but she says nothing like this (at least when i encounter her on sebastians quest)
- its like all my choices are being ignored from the expansions...
its a good thing i saved right before act3... becuase it seems so entirley broken I can't proceed anymore....

I have the same problem with Merrill crying in front of the mirror. Also, mirror dissapears after that conversation.dynamicdandito wrote...
*spoiler* At the beginning of Act 3 when I was going around talking to my companions, Merrille was crying in front of the mirror because apparently the Keeper died. This conversation was supposed to be at the end of her quest line, not the begging.
Also starting at act 3, whenever my Hawke was in battle she'd be afflicted with perma-slow. Several times I had to use the console command killallhostiles just to get thourgh a fight because my Hawke was deadweight.
Also, in DA:O I had Anora and Alister rule jointly, but in my transfer Alister is ruling alone.

Ok I went back and replayed the Merrill romance this time swinging her to rival and not giving her the thing she needed to fix the mirror. After questioning beliefs at the end of act 2, the romance triggered and she moved in. Now in act 3 I spoke to her in the mansion and she says shes going to Low Town for a bit. I got "A Talking Too", and went to her house to complete it, and got the shattered mirror cut-scene (that I never got when I romanced her using friend, and killing the possessed Keeper), but was then able to complete "A Talking Too" not sure what is supposed to come after that...
The Merrill romance chain is seriously bugged.
So, the rivalry approach also results in disordered scenes?
In my friendship approach I did other quests. Eventually her final quest activated, but I never got the mirror scene again.
Note - Merrill probably only shatters the Mirror on rivalry, so that part may be normal.
No, to get the mirror shattering scene it assumes you killed the keeper and spared the rest of the clan (Merrill says this durring the dialogue). It looks like the Rival and Friend determination script is out of whack. If you romanced as Friend, in Act 3 she acts like it was Rival and you never get the mirror shattering scene, and can't end the chain. If you romance as Rival (don't let her fix the mirror), in Act 3 she acts like you went Friend and you get the mirror shattering scene as soon as you visit her house (it should occur at the very end of the Friend chain).
I went back and played both scenarios to test this, and these are the results.
At this point I already beat the game once and am sitting on the save game right at the start of Act 3 until they roll out a patch to fix this.

It seems I will have to replay the whole game(presuming patch will fix everything, of course). 40 hours of gameplay lost:(

I romanced Merrill in the game, in the last cutscene Varric says 'Everyone left the Champion, except for Isabela, of course' (something like that) but he said Isabela instead of Merrill.

The uncompletable 'Who Needs Rescuing' quest, and I never found Nathaniel's quest, but that's probably my fault.
You probably never found Nathaniel's quest because you didn't import an Awakening save ? That's my problem anyways, and like I've said before, it's just bad design... Especially since Varrik's last armor upgrade is in that quest !

I was sad to hear the end of the quest before I had even unlocked it...

Strangely, I also experienced the common Merril glitch but at the end of my playthrough Varric got everything right, including Merril going off with Hawke.
My only major problem (and it was major) was that the quest "On the loose" didn't work for me. I talked to Meridith but no matter how many different saves I tried Elsa never showed up. I had to use the console again to skip Meridith and Orsino's quests but the finale worked fine. Am I hosed for future installments or will the game just use "default" choices?

Its a known bug, the dialogue she has that starts with "they're all gone" occurs at the start of act 3, you can work around it to an extent with the console commands but it leads to a wonky situation where some of her quests (the intro quest) are done after you kill marethari (and the clan if you choose to do so, though you can avoid it by taking responsibility).
I should like to add that Act III in general is a complete and utter mess of continuity and decision recognition, I'd REALLY appreciate a patch to fix these issues up.

I literally have no more quests to do. So.. yeah. Tried playing the entire act 3 from the top again, but the problem persists from the start of act 3. As soon as I click accept on the quest from my journal thing in my house it completes immediately and that's that.

A few spoilers maybe.
These involve Merrill, I have seen a few reports of this very problem (and I have seen there are also problems with her in Act 2, fortunately it seems I avoided those.)
At the start of Act 3 immediately after the opening scene in the courtyard involving Orsino and Meredith.
I get a whole bunch of companion quests, but Merrill has two, "A talking to" and "The new place".
If I go to Merrills home first, Varric stands around in the doorway regardless of if he is in my party of not and Merrill is non responsive conversationally if in my party (or not there at all if I don't select her to be in my party).
If I do "The new place" at Hawkes mansion first, that completes. However If I then go to Merrills home I get a scene where she is in mourning over the death of the Dalish camp and a conversation option including "Whatever you do we will do it together" (or something like that). I believe this is the ending scene for her for Act 3 occurring early when I haven't even started that quest line.
At this point I can then talk to her again and "A talking to" completes, with Varric talking to her before the player character.
The Eluvian mirror then disappears from the corner of her bedroom. And it would appear I can go on my merry way with quests, although as this play through has her as my romance option I would rather it all played out correctly, and I am not sure how it will play out with this bug already causing problems.
Is there any way to fix this for ourselves? It's a shame to know the end of her story arc ahead of time but it happens I guess.
I came across this too, probably the worst bug iv'e come across yet.
This needs a fix
