I had my mage fHawke romance Fenris, and I didn't think he wasn't all that rude. He even apologized when he was rude, and I thought his romance was actually very sweet and fulfilling, and I was extremely happy with the ending. I'm planning on doing an Anders playthrough next....but I'm a bit worried that I'll get sidetracked by Fenris again. lol!
So, romance is in the air..which one is best?

I concur as well. And I'm not a double-posting Bible Doctor.
Fell for her right away and I intentionally avoided getting too much news on DA:2, so I didn't knew who my companions would be...
Isabela was a complete turn-off for me, her behaviour rubbed me the wrong way and I wasn't sad when she left the party during the Qunari-incident... and on entering Anders clinic, I overheard Anders mentioning to her along the lines: 'you can treat those diseases elsewhere' with Hawke visibly disgusted mentioning: 'I do not want to know' as she walked passed him.

I love the Fenris romance, particularly with a mage. My next favorite would probably be Merrill and I tried the Anders one, but ended up killed him after the Chantry goes boom. I'll have to try an Isabella one next.

I went for Merril, Didn't like Isabela much and she also ran away with the relic and since I'm a straight guy... Well, let's just say I don't find male on male interactions comfortable. No not even in video games thank you.

Romancing Anders with my lady mage was my favorite so far. It makes the entire situation seem so dramatic and heart-wrenching. But I'm a sucker for tough choices and imperfection in romance.

Ive done one romance so far. Anders. His quests are interesting and worrying since he doesnt tell you everything until the end. But I loved him to bits. He's depressed and needs someone to stick by him. I also love how your choices stop him from doing bad things.

I can't decide who I like better. Parallel universes, I like both Anders and Fenris.

Anders was way way better then I expected it to be. The decision at the end was so difficult.

I'd say Anders is the best (for those pursuing same sex romances). It doesn't feel like Zevran 2.0 when you're with him. He doesn't go, "oh yeah dude, I prefer the chicks, but you'll do for now" like I thought he would. Instead, he brings up a past boyfriend who he eventually avenges and gives more authenticity to a same sex relationship.

Anders. Christ on a ******, the heartbreak. Especially if you play a mage, the entire thing just sizzles with emotion and chemistry and tragedy.

YES. The fact that they made it seem like I could romance Aveline only to have her act like I wasn't even an option in the end...kimprobable wrote...

at least I felt like they let me voice my heartbrokeness...
Isabella caught me on the rebound and was suprisingly fufilling. I like girls like her... open, honest (for the most part...

I love the dynamics between Anders and MageHawke..... I think it fits well together
I'm torn between my male mage hawke going after either Isabella or Fenris.....

Well I've only done Isabela's and Merrill's and while their both great I give Isabela a edge. Her romance just feels more rewarding considering you actually have to work for it, whereas the others like most BW 'mances are fairly easy to pursue.

I've only done Anders' so far, but lordy, wasn't that a kick in the gut.
....but I wouldn't have it any other way. Loved it.

Only finished one playthrough, went with Anders.
My Garrett mage!Hawke let him live, but damn if it didn't seem like the murder knife would have been the merciful option. I'm going to try Isabella on my next playthrough (mostly 'cause it seems like her story is more tied to the main plot then Fenris or Merrill) but Ander's arc set the bar pretty high for me.

I really enjoyed the Merrill rivalry romance, but found the friendship one to be lackluster. The dialogue for the rivalry path is more intense, intimate, and passionate, even if the "make-out" scene itself is identical.

I loved Fenris with mage FemHawke. You could tell he wanted to hate her, but he couldn't. I can't imagine Fenris sneaking in at night just to stare at me though. God, Edward is so damn creepy.

Same here. Being mage created some nice conflicts to intercept into the relationship and I think it helps Fenris understand not all mages are evil. It just felt very fullfilling and well done.

And Fenris is second best, he's so cool!!
