Well my characters are all straight so makes ure to tell Anders and Fenris early on the keep it in their own pants!

So far im generally dissapointed romance wise, though if i had to pick it would be Isabella as shes quite fun.

Though i do miss not being able to flirt with npcs as my Warden did back in DAO. So far ive not come across any

I've done two Lady hawke runs now, a rogue first and then a mage. Both times I've gone for Anders; I just can't help myself. Those eyebrows get me every time.

I have an inexplicable attraction to damaged characters, and frankly they don't come more damaged than Anders. When I got to the end and saw what happened, I felt like I'd been punched in the chest. It was hurtful, and tragic, and I felt equal parts angry, betrayed, sympathetic and compassionate. I agonised over what to do, what was right.

But those eyebrows get me every time...

I go the straight path as well so no female romances here. Fenris was an awesome romance though and I agreed with him on blood mages but I dont think all mages are bad. Anders just used me pretty much to kill innocents so I ended up having to kill him.

I liked the Isabela romance because it felt like i tamed the wild spirit. But i did have to lay down the law when she met with Zevren!

Prudes! My Hawke just made sure he got to go too. 

(I have decided a running theme for that particular universe is that Zevran and Isabella get to bang the main hero every time.)

I like Anders tragedy romance. First kiss was... wow, and then he goes insane and I can't help protecting that disoriented kitten ^__^

I fell for Anders in Awakening, and SO enjoyed initiating a relationship with him in DA2. I love Anders!!

I was disappointed with the Isabella romance. It wasn't deep enough, and didn't really attached to me. The sex scene didn't help either.

I like both Anders and Fenris.
But since I tend to be a mage sympathizer (which is hard not to be in this game, if you aren't a mage, then your SISTER is) Fenris tends to hate me. So I prefer Anders. (I really need to completely romance Fenris in a playthrough before I make a complete decision though.)
But both of them are pretty hardcore extremists. So I guess for me it just depends on what side of the fence my character is on.

Pretty much my dilemma. I don't know if it's because I juggled so many romances at once or rode the mage debate's fence too much or simply did something out of order, but I failed to properly friend-romance Fenris the first go-around so I settled for my friend-romance with Anders. Friendship romance with Isabella and Mirrell didn't impress. I'm glad to see these responses though, didn't realize character class would affect romances with non-Fenris companions.

Going for the straight approach also...
Merrill had to be the one for me, she had an interesting and emotional story and despite appearing entertainingly upbeat most of the time I believe that she felt deeply hurt by the scathing opinions of her clan and by companions and other NPCs.
Isabella was just in it for sex and didn't care about anyone but herself.

Well I have yet to complete a romance,sadly it looks like no Varrick for me.. *sigh* Loves me some dwarf man here. Though I did get a flirt option after going into the fade and then talking to him afterwards at The Hanged Man.

I personally love the Isabela romance. It kinda annoyed me at first that it's so drawn out over the three acts, but then I realized that's probably much more realistic for her character, who is fairly anti-emotions in the beginning. I like that they actually evolved her character, and kept her IN character the whole time.

Also, come on. Sexy pirate.

Wish I could get her to move in though.

Fenris is my favorite so far.
I'm not looking forward to the tragedy I suspect to be involved in an Anders romance, but he is my next choice.

To be honest I was certain that I was absolutely going to hate Merrill, that is right up until the moment she started talking. Now she's the only romance option I've explored.

What can I say? Avelines just too much fun to set up with that guard. Isabella... sleeps around too much for my tastes. And since I only bother to play male characters and am only interested in straight relationships it means that I don't really have any other option.

Merrill simply because she was incredibly cute. Especially her introduction in Sundermount, and the interactions she has with Varric and Isabela.

I boned everyone though.

None, the romance wasn't quite steamy as the campfire scenes of the 1st game, also none of them relationship wise held a candle to Leliana. Just my two cents.

If you're a mage and you go for Fenris he's pretty hard to romance since he generally believes all mages are monsters.

You do realize she won't sleep with him if you ask her not to if you are in a romane with her.  You also have the option to have a threesome or let her sleep with him with your blessing.

Yes, but that's what makes the romance so wonderful if you're a mage, because in time, you come to show him that's not true.

I wish Aveline was a romance option. I think Wesley would have wanted her to move on but alas she's remarried to her job as Guard Captain.

So its either Isabella or Anders for me.

Aveline also is interested in someone else and gets remarried over the course of the game

I started off with +10 Rivarly, being a mage and whatnot. But then, for some reason, Fenris was happy with every choice I made, and only got Friendship points. It was easy to romance him. I think, as long as your character is Lawful, he will agree with your actions.

I want to romance Anders on my next playthrough, even though I am dreading the end. Funny how easily I managed to get him to full Friendship as well, despite romancing Fenris O.o Fenris is a lot of fun, though. And, no, he does not remind me of Little Eddy... If I never hear the word "Twilight" again, it'll be too soon

I love the Anders romance. I am a sucker for completely heartbreaking and tragic stories, and Anders provided me and my dude Hawke with just that.

Though I did romance Fenris and his romance is completely adorable, strangely. I was also on the friendship path so it was more sweet than slap slap kiss. They got along in their mutual dislike of mages (my Hawke was extremely resentful of his sister, Carver-style).

I haven't tried the others, but so far I can safely say that none will match up to the Andersmance, because I am a masochist and it ties so well into the story.
