I was unable to find any bandits on my first play through and am running out a quests to do in act 3 of my second playthrough.... has anyone been able to complete this quest?

It's glitched for a lot of us. You'll just have to wait for a patch to complete it.

I posted same question, I even checked my strategy guide and no mention of that quest, I have feeling they took it out but not all the way coding wise, or it is a inside joke "Who needs rescuing" LOL NOT!!! but I've posted this the the technical forum as well.
