I've not gone any further than the start of year four, so please don't gimme any spoilers, all I want to know is if I've missed something.

I went on the deep roads expedition to that ancient thaig so old it predates dwarven record. Yet, when you're in there you encounter stone golems, which should not be possible as Paragon Caridin was not born that long ago and he was the one who came up with the method for creating the golems in the first place. My question is this, will this be addressed at any point as it seems like quite a big plot hole to have something that existed before it was created? Just a yes or no answer please :)

Is that a no? Cos if it is then I gotta say I hope it's the only plot hole in the game.

Beyond that one thing I am loving the game so far :)

The golem DLC fro Origins MAY explain it, but I got no clue. I never played that one. I got the meaty DLC from Warden's Keep, Ostagar and Witch Hunt. It's possible that the Golems were a lost art at some point, and Caridin might have rediscovered it. But enjoy the game here-on!

well you found the relic and the thaig was lost before the first blight.... who is to say that the dwarves of that thaig had discovered several things that were lost from blights only to be rediscovered later by future paragons.... i mean like varrics brother said there were no statues of paragons so maybe what the dwarves of today consider life style changes were everyday discoveries at the ancient thaig.....

What on earth are you talking about? The timeline for this game is the same as Origins. Caradin is hundreds of years old and the deep roads used to be an actual underground city before it became this ancient ruins, so having Golems there isn't a problem at all.

The Thaig doesn't predate dwarven record, its an assumption that was made because it had no paragon statues. And I recall the golems are found before you reach it the thaig, so when they were created doesn't really matter, they also could have ended up there at a later date. We simply don't know anything about that place execpt it contained the Idol. Maybe the Shapers knew what was there and feared it so much they erased all record of it.

Eh, you've both made good points, I just didn't think of it that way, thanks :)
