First, Orsino-demon doesn't attack. Ever. He just stands there while my party beats the tar out of him. Part of that is a petrify spell that Merill drops on him, I think. But I can see that effect end (the stuff around his feet shatters). Then he...does nothing. He turns in place to face me (I'm a rogue, so I backstab a lot), but never attacks at all. It's kinda like we're stun-locking him, but that really shouldn't happen to a near-final (I assume) boss. But that isn't the main problem.
Eventually, he decides he's had enough of being a punching bag, and goes down. He changes into this kinda lizard-thing, and summons a bunch of corpses. For whatever reason, he then goes and hangs out in the corner (specifically, the one to the right, if you're facing the pink fire barrier). We wail on him some more, and then...he drops off the edge of the world. Seriously. I can see his dot on the mini-map, but he's at the bottom of the pit and we can't reach him or target him or anything. Another wave of corpses and an Arcane Horror spawns, we kill them. Nothing happens. After a moment, the combat music stops, we put away weapons, we get enough XP for everyone in my active party to level. But the barrier doesn't go down. There is no sweet boss-killing animation. Nothing. Everyone just stands around. For whatever reason, Fenris (not in my active party, but aiding me) still keeps acting like he's getting hit. He's not attacking back, but he still seems to be the boss's target. He was quite possibly the last one to hit the boss before it dropped into nothing.
I reload from the checkpoint (the auto save, right after Orsino demon's it up). Same thing happens. This time, I hang well back, after the form change, but the boss still flies into oblivion. Several of my characters can deliver knockback (Anders with upgraded fireballs, Fenris with two-handed sword stuff). The place the boss ran to was right in front of one of the gaps in the fence on the plaform. Are my allies knocking the boss off the world? Is there some way for me to work around this? Thanks in advance.
