[General Boredom]

I just noticed that on my BioWare Social profile, that I have two of the DLC achievements unlocked. Hopefully this means that if you've already unlocked them, they'll pop once the update rolls out, whenever that might be.

When this is fixed, am i going to have to replay the whole game again or will they magically unlock? I've only just started Act 3 and am well into my 30th hour, so don't particularly want to have to do it all over.

How do you get your achievements linked to your Bioware profile?

EDIT:   Nevermind.  I figured it out.  I have the achievements on my profile too.  Hopefully this is similar to the Origins DLC Achievements and they are automatically rewarded once they are fixed.

i completed the DLC and i am now anoyed that the achivements are glitched, i hope when they fix it people who have completed it will get the achivements, but if i have to start again, so be it

blacquot we won't know until the fix comes through. I know lots of people like you want to know if they will automatically pop up when the patch comes through, but bioware has said nothing and probably won't until the patch goes to microsoft for review.

Not to whine or complain, but...it's just incredible.
The game's not even a week old since it was released and it's already suffering from bugs, glitches and more...no wonder the future DLC will be buggy as hell.

I noticed that this time its different from what happened last time

For instance the DLC achievements have been uploaded to Xbox.com, however they are still unobtainable for those just starting.

Last time you would unlock the achivement but it wouldn't be uploaded, and a gamertag recovery did not fix the problem until it was patched.

Are the achievement specifications simply... not in the DLC?

Encountered that problem this morning, I completed the Exiled Prince DLC, which was fairly good and the new setting was nice, but none of the achivements unlocked.

Same here. I have finish the DLC and no achivement pop-up but in my profile I have them all. Just wish that they pop-up after the patch. Even if i know myself i will do like 4 time the game but it's just a pain to see that this happen in DAO and in DAO 2 also. Learn from your error please!

Good thing I made a backup save... I really hope that the patch will just unlock it straight away as soon I sign into DA servers.

*Spoilers* Leliana also didn't mention having a special place in her heart for the Warden, even though I imported a save I had romanced her on, I don't know whether this is to do with the import system or what, but just to let you know

I'm hoping it's like what happened with DA:O Shale DLC which had the same problem. When they figured out the issue if it was unlocked on the social network they were able to unlock it on Live with a patch.

so how do you check your achievements on the site i saw my dragon age origins achievements but wasnt able to see my dragon age 2 achievements can someone point me in the right direction please still getting used to this site

One was the Scholar achievement where you have to read particular codex entries and another was the one for doing 75% of the missions. Those are just the ones I had problems with - and they're never going to unlock now - but there may be more. But you're right that over all it's not that bad. Comparing it to Origins, pretty much every spell and skill doesn't work like it's supposed to on some level; you can check the Wikia for details.

To watch your DA2 achievements on social.bioware.com
-> click on the picture of your avatar (upper corner on the left)
-> cklick "games" tab
-> next to Dragon Age II - Player Profiles click "Activate Online Profiles" (skip this step if there already is a link under it)
-> click the link under it reading "Dragon Age II - 'Platform'"
-> click on "Achievements".

AFAIK, Mass Effect didn't really have achievements that were unobtainable it was just that the achievements you mentioned where hard to get because at the beginning noone was sure what to do and get exactly. I got them both on my first playthrough right back when the game came out (did everything I could find).

i've killed at least 5 thousand darkspawn in origins and the 1000 kills achievement hasn't unlocked....just like the exiled prince ones.

There is a way to get the 1000 Darkspawn kills for sure. It requires some time though. I followed a guide from x360a.com All you got to do is clear your cache on the hard drive (thus deleting the patches and updates) and simply kill 1000 Darkspawn without updating the game (play offline). I luckily had a save right before Denerim and didn't have to play through the whole game again (just repeated the attack on the Alienage) For a detailed description click here

No, these were (for some people, including me) unobtainable. I had the required codex entries, as stated in various different guides I read, and the achievement didn't register. I restarted several times, went through the process again and it never worked. I got the achievements for having various squad members in your party for 75% of the game but the one for doing 75% of the game didn't register on either of my two full playthroughs - and obviously they should go hand in hand. Of course, that's nowhere near as bad as how it sounds with DA2 and with certain ones in DA:O.

Teclo; same here never got those achievements for ME. As these DA2 ones do seem to pop up in my Bioware profile I'm having more hope this will be resolved.

Also, anyone notice that the game art for Dragon Age 2 is not showing up when you check achievements on xbox.com or the game art doesn't show in your friends area when they are playing the game?
