Of COURSE they do. That's what PR teams are for, to lie, lie, lie and deny, deny, deny. Looks like it worked on you.Peregrin25 wrote...
But Bioware stresses they are working hard to resolve the problem.
It doesn't matter WHO is responsible for this bug, BIOWARE is the one responsible for testing and making sure EVERYTHING works on day 1.

.
It's a conspiracy, they're probably planning on syphoning funds out of our bank accounts when we're all browsing the forums raging about how our achievements aren't unlocking.
Damn criminal masterminds.

Why bother replying in this forum that's got everything to do with the achievements being glitched in the Exiled Prince DLC? All you're doing is bashing people who loves achievements, you're only flaming the thread with your nonsens.
Guess who made the achievement system? MICROSOFT. Guess what else? They're a part of 360 games and whether or not Bioware cares for achievements or not, it's part of their future games for microsoft's console and it is no excuse to ignore the issue when it is their fault. I'm not gonna buy the Exiled Prince DLC untill it's fixed, simple as that. I'm not going to hand out 7 dollars for a half assed product because their testing team fails to test it properly.
I play to have fun with games and achievements at the same time, but I'm still not going to pay for something that is broken and should have been fixed from day 1.
@ Bioware, it would be nice to get an update on how long you're in the process of getting the patch done because I'm not the only person holding off on buying the Exiled Prince untill you get your **** together.

Bioware could for the love of gamers, simply reply with an update on their progress instead of making everyone second guess their work.

Same here, I'm enjoying the game alot, currently at Act 2, finishing up remaining quests before proceding to the final act. Huge improvement over Origins which everyone seemed to love, I just didn't the same way.
Everyone loved it because it essentially was Knights of the Old Republic, with a fantasy theme.
And back to the main issue.
Did you guys seriously think that something wouldn't go wrong with Day 1 DLC? And who cares if you have to play DA2 over again. I'll still be playing it for a while, slowly perfecting my playthrough until I get my perfect story.
And besides, Bioware makes great games, which are designed to be played multiple times. atleast now you have an extra reason to play.

Does bioware even read these or is it merely somewhere for everyone to scream down a hole? I am experiencing the achievement issue and i hope our words don't fall on deaf ears
If you've read the first post by a Bioware Rep you wouldn't even be asking that question. Just give em time, play till you get all but the DLC Achievs and hope for a fast resolution.

Posting in this forum isn't going to help them figure out the bug or get it through approvals any faster. The fact that they haven't reported anything just shows that they haven't got anything to report. Also, in the big picture, an achievement bug isn't really a priority as compared to something like the few quest-killing bugs, and finding those is difficult because it involves a seemingly random pile of unknown variables in order to replicate the bug.
In this particular case, it's likely just a case of a flag needing to be set/reset, but at the same time, EA isn't going to fast-track an approval for a patch for only this. They're going to need something meatier in order to send it to XBL for approvals and upload.
Now, if we had the PC version, it's a completely different story, as those patches don't have the same level of bureaucracy attached to them and there isn't a delivery process that's as convoluted as the one for XBL. (Although Steam has issues of its own in this regard.) BioWare can just release those without jumping through hoops.

Also an off topic question; is it possible to go for the "Side with Templars" achievement while playing a mage char?

Those two weeks is on the Microsoft side, on top of however long it takes them to figure out. I agree that this should have been sorted at launch - this is just one of many games I've bought this year that had some kind of at-launch issue (and New Vegas was by far the worst). I'm sure Bioware doesn't have any lack of love for gamers, but that's not really relevant to the business end of things. But hey, it is what it is. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the game and that's in the end what matters most.
I understand where you are coming from. I agree with you to a large extent. However, If I complete the dlc, I want the achievement for it, Simple as! Ive paid for the content!! This is a thread where everyone else agrees. Why are you commenting, in this thread???
