I made two saves, one with giving Varric the Idol piece, one making it an enchantment. I had to go with the enchantment but is there anyone who gave it to Varric and does his additude change or do they mention it in the ending??

I didn't notice any other references to the piece I gave Varric. It may have consequences in a DLC or something, but I did not notice any on my playthrough. Varric remained awesome.
