***NO SPOILERS PLEASE***

I Found Sliver at the Black Emporium of Act 2.

Sliver:
102 phys. damage
+6% critical chance
+5% atk speed
+10 nature dmg across 2m

It is over 28 sovereigns and it seems really good. Anything I should know before I purchase this bow? Are there any better ones that I should know of? If there are better ones then a simple "Yes" would be appreciated.

I have Jackal's Longbow right now and the thing is a beast. I've seen an autoattack crit for about 1600 with it.

But it's sadly missing a rune slot and is not so great when enemies have fire resistance. Maybe I need to get the other one.

Jackal's Longbow drops from the High Dragon. Absolution is purchased from the Nexus Golem during Act 3 for ~38g.

Sliver is useful as a start-purchase for Archer Hawke as soon as you hit Act 2 if you just want to dominate Act 2. It's useful all the way until you get Jackal's or Absolution. Heaven's Answer is another option, also available right at the start of Act 2.

Absolution is the best, in my opinion.

Who cares about rune slots on a weapon that already does elemental damage? That means that enemy armor is completly ignored.

Probably because the rune slot, with the lyrium rune, can by far outweigh the elemental damage?

The Heavens' Answer is purchased from Bonny Lem in Act 2 (around 30 sovereigns I think)

107 physical damage (101 dps)
6% critical chance
15% critical damage
5% chance to stun
1 rune slot
Requires: 35 dexterity

A what,30 percent speed boost didnt outweight an elemental weapon that ignores enemy armor.

Which bow really is better?

Heaven's Answer:
107 physical damage
1 Rune slot
+6% critical chance
+15% critical damage
+5% chance to stun

or

Sliver:
102 phys. damage
1 Rune Slot
+6% critical chance
+5% atk speed
+10 nature dmg across 2m

I tend to want to go with sliver, A lot of Act 2 enemies are weak to nature, and I don't normally have an issue with 10 FF damage in a very small radius. +5% attack speed is just icing on the cake. I'm wondering if the critical damage makes up for it though. 15% is a fairly decent bonus expecially when talents come into play (assassinate is critical for example)
