I'm an Englander, so I just got my version of DA2 yesterday. I was so excited about it, I have been all year, it installs fine, loads up fine.

Then, after the scene with Varric where Hawke is fighting a load of hurlocks. It crashes. I have restarted the game about five times and EVERY time it crashes.

I have configured it to have low graphics detail and lower resolution, but to no avail. I have a Windows 7 laptop, and it was made in 2010, so it's fairly new.

Also, while I'm here, it won't go into full screen mode. Even when I configured the game, to enable full screen mode, it started off on full screen mode, but went back into a little window.

Finally, it won't connect to the servers, so I can't log in with my EA account. I really want to play this game and have been very much looking forward to it. So any help would be hugely appreciated. I can live without the other two problems. But I just want it to stop crashing right at the beginning in the combat scene.
Thanks! Posted Image

Please could I have some help. I am really looking forward to this game, and I can't even play it.

Has anyone said anything useful to you about a solution?

From what I've read on the da2 page, this is supposed to fix that for AMD graphics cards: http://support.amd.c...rlypreview.aspx It's the new graphics driver. I've not tried it out yet, and I don't know if it will work with laptops.

Thanks! I'm just downloading it at the moment, I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks :) Good luck! I was having other computer issues last night so I didn't get a chance to try it myself... I know someone who is playing it on a laptop of very similar configuration to mine, and theirs works no problem. It's so frustrating that I can play DAO and DAA and Guild Wars on this one and have no problems, but this one is being such a pain.

Did the updated drivers fix the your crash, Tasha? What's the status of your remaining issues?

Thanks.

I have tried the updated drivers, but they don't work with my laptop (which is annoying because my computer more than meets the minimum requirements).
