The leech quickly wipes out my party. This is the last sidequest in Act1 for me. Any tips on beating the lich? I have Hawke Mage (primal), Anders (healer/Creation), Varric, Abilene.

I played as a rogue, and I spammed Miasmic Flask and Backstab. Try to use abilities that stun him.
It also helps to kill off all of the low health helpers, because they die quickly, but do alot of damage.

Oh well, he keeps owning me with spells. I guess that will be my one unfinished Act 1 sidequest because I'm sick of getting wiped. Lol, on my last try he wiped out my mage, Anders, and Varric with a single spell while he was still on the balcony. Fist of the Maker does not work on what you called the "low health helpers" and chain lightning and tempest is not damaging them enough. If Avilene rushes the leech the other troops rush my squishes and it is game over. Then the lich takes out Avilene with a couple of spells or lich + "trash mob" finishes her. Bleh.
