My blade of mercy has 38 base damage not 34, putting it as the top unique physical damage 2 hander in the game. The end game bosses are weak to cold and spirit, as almost all the hardest bosses in the game are, meaning that Bloom, Celebrant, and Blade of Mercy should be your main weapons. Id use blade of mercy vs trash and bloom or celebrant vs bosses.

Fenris only Blade of Mercy has 34 base damage. +117 Attack + 5 Speed (+34 Speed with Lyrium Rune)
Your Blade of Mercy has has 38 base damage. +145 Attack +5 Speed (+37 Speed with Lyrium Rune) (41 Str Req.)
+ 10 Friend points with Fenris if you keep it for yourself. (We learn: never give Fenris the blade)

I used the Limptaker with a 10% Damage rune for most of act 3, also because of the deathblows, but I don't think 25% Chance of deathblow actually work (not vs. Bosses or Elites at least and rest dies anyway after 1-2 Hits.)

Any 1 Rune Slot is a potential +10 % Damage (Devastation Rune)
Any 2 Rune Slots are a potential +10 % Damage (Devastation Rune) and a +34%-37% Attack Speed (Lyrium Rune)
Any 2-Hander that already adds +x Amout of Damage helps the effect of the Devastation Rune.

Speed rune depends on your Character Build and the Level of the Weapon - if it uses Abilites like the Ultimate Venaguard the effect is small, if it uses basic attacks like the Berserker Vanguard your speed inrease is high (unless Bioware caps it somewhere)

For me that means that only 2+ Rune Slot Weapons make sense:
  • Blade of Mercy could have +42% Attack Speed + 10% Damage (Fenris Blade stats)
  • Bloom could have 37% Speed and +26% Cold Damage  (10% Damge + 16% Cold Damage)
+ 5% Attack speed is not that much if you have to choose between 42% and 37%. but an added 16% Damage that almost no bosses can resist sounds better to me.

Therefore I would say => Bloom (with Devastation and Lyrium Rune) is the strongest weapon.

I don't think the devastation rune stacks like that.

A hilariously awesome problem with Bloom- I had to stop using it on my Reaver as my health never got low enough to get the full benefit from Blood Frenzy.

Yeah, its probably something like [base + 10% + 16%] and not [base + (10%+16%)], but unless someone tests it there is no way to know for sure -> and still 10% of anything is better then nothing :)

I justed finished the game on Hard with Bloom (Devastation and Lyrium Rune) after switching from Limptaker and even if you use the Ultimate Venaguard the 37% speed increase is pretty cool for the last few fights :)

My Two Handed warrior receives one handed bassrath-kata after "lost swords". Reloaded 5 times with the same outcome. Anyone know the requirements to get the bad ass two hander rather than a spear with a scabby rag as a handle? It's driving me crazy, I never use weapon and shield! Cheers

I saw someone using it by typing some line in debug console but is there any legitimate way to get it in the game?
I doubt that. Maybe it's saved for the DLC or expansion pack.

Void Hammer is pretty good, I used it all through Act II. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it, though, cause there's other stuff about as good you can get free.

If Celebrant deals Spirit Damage, I'll probably stay away from it on NM. Elemental damage is a pain to use because every enemy is immune to at least one element.

This is why I opted for the Blade of MErcy. Even against normal enemies on nightmare I found physical damage more effective than elemental damage, it just felt like everything had at least 25% resistance to all non physical types.

That said, I can't see any reason to ever outright give Fenris the Blade. GIving it to him vs keeping it myself was a difference of +5 firendship, and when you give it to him he gets a 57 dps version locked to himself, when you keep it you get a 62 dps version that isn't character locked. Stats are the same, just higher on the 62 dps version.

So Bloom charges your health?

Or it was just killing everyone so you didn't get hurt?

My favourites are the Limbtaker and the Celebrant. At least based on the guide, there are very few enemies that resist Spirit on Nightmare, and IIRC both Meredith and Orsino are vulnerable to it. It might not have the +s of Limbtaker, but the fact that it ignores armour kind of supersedes that. I was carrying both at the end.

A forgotten Maul, which I think has been mentioned once in this thread, correct me if I am wrong is...

The Sundering
38 Electricity Dmg (62dps)
+6% critical chance
+16% critical dmg
+10% phys dmg
+5 mana/stam regen rate

No rune slots but damn thats pretty pimp.
Its sold by that golem merchant in act 3 (in the cave you explore to find the antivian, HOWEVER before and after initiating the quest, it turns back into the golem dungeon). along with other warrior gear.

Another maul is found here called the Roadhammer. It only has 57.2dps but has a 25% chance to reduce attack and movement speed on hit and has a rune slot.

They're most likely saving Vigilance and the Starfang (check Ser Isaac of Clarke images) for DLC.  Even though Vigilance is already in the game files.

Of you are reaper then take Bloom.

Skills of reaper + %4 of reg + speed attack rune + %10 damage rune + support = over

Is there are a reason they gimped the Fenris version of the Blade of Mercy? Not cool, BioWare.

Check out AreleX's very good tactics post for 2-handed warriors (http://social.biowar...5/index/6616406). He has a section on which swords are available.
In my last warrior playthrough I ended up using Blade of Mercy with the Primeval Rune and Devastion Rune switching out for Bloom with 2 Runes of Frost against enemies with little frost resistance (especially end bosses and high dragon).

You referring to Haydens Razor? If so it's in the chest at Gamlens House.
BTW the 2 best 2 handed weapons ingame are 1) Bloom 2) Celebrant... 3) If you have the right Mod, then it's Vigilance
