Destroying all blood magic books in act 2 will save her ?
Unfortunately not... It only gives you a chance to fight a super boss demon and earn an achievment for it.

Is that how you find Xebenkeck, or whatever its name was? I couldn't find all of the tomes...

Yes. By finding and (key word) DESTRYOING them you have a chance to find the sixth tome, that upon reading will allow you to fight Xebenkek. It also gives atribute points when read.

theres usually a courtesy that people exhibit even in a forum that allows spoilers.

right, but you dont really (well at least i didnt) come to this forum to expect to see major plot spoilers in the title of threads in the GAMEPLAY/STRATEGY forum. no other threads that ive seen spoil stuff in the title, yet this is the 2nd time ive seen this spoiler in the title of a post.

This is the spoilers forum. If you don't want to see spoilers don't read the forum. What is your problem???

I didnt say anything the first time someone posted this in a thread topic, infact i didnt even open the thread, but it still ruined some of the story for me and makes me enjoy the game less. Because this is the second time ive seen some dick post this in a TITLE of a thread i figure i would say something.
Seriously, go thru the thread titles on this forum. No one else is spoiling **** in the titles, have some damn consideration.

The quest is called: "All That Remains" I knew exactly what was going to happen -
Every quest (sadly) does this in game - the game itself is one Spoiler after another.
====
And "Can you save mother" is really very ambiguous - honestly, she's in danger in the very first scene - the answer could be "Yes, you can save her in the first act."
You would have to read deeper to see when and where this event occurs - and if you did that, and still whine about spoilers - then it's your fault.
====
If he had written "Question about Mother" do you REALLY think it would have been: "Does the mom ever knit a scarf for me?" Seriously - this isn't the Sims - with a little elbow grease to the brain you would have had to have been able to discern that danger was probably involved.

Because the quest is called 'All that Remains' that is == to 'Your mother dies'? Ok buddy. I'd like to have that genius juice youre sippin on.
Discerning that danger is involved with a specific character is different than blatantly stating 'Your Mother Dies' in the thread title, like the other thread on this topic or 'Can You Save Mother?'
I dont know what kind of internet youve been on, but I've been active on forums for like 15 years. Spoilers in thread titles are always considered a dick move.

"Can you save mother." implies only one thing - "Mom is in danger at some point in the game." If that's shocking to you and now your entire experience is blown - I'd recommend completing the game, then going on to the forums that talk about the game with "Spoilers" in the title after.

And this topic was ontop, the most recenty updated topic is visible without even entering the forum. And just because its a spoiler forum doesnt mean you should giveaway key spoilers in the title. Someome might be here to look up a certain quest or NPC.
Now I've already finished the game so its not a problem for me, but it would be a courtsy NOT to put spoilers in the title.

I don't go on the internet till I've beaten the game - because evidently I know the internet better than you do, I don't have the illusion spoilers won't be posted in a place where it says (SPOILERS). Please stop making up your own rules because you read past the title and saw what his first post said.

This doesnt mean that it follows ettiquite, or isn't incosiderate. Several people are agreeing with me so its not my 'rule' or even a rule in the strict sense of the word. It's basically just not being a ****. Also the 1000's of other threads in this forum didnt seem to have a problem with not posting major spoilers in the thread title.
Idealism? rofl buddy, thats pot calling the kettle black anyway.... youre not imposing any less idealism than I am just because you have the opposite viewpoint
You think that major spoilers in thread titles are A-OK (again in the GAMEPLAY/STRATEGY forum, not the discuss the story forum). I think that they should be saved for the body of a post. What's really more imposing to a reader of the forum?

Agreed. Seriously, if you want to stay away from spoilers avoid the game's forum until you beat it. You can complain about spoilers all you want but it's going to happen. Someone will either accidentally or purposefully spoil important parts of the story.Medhia Nox wrote...

Finish the game, then come back to the forums and you wont have problems. Sorry if this comes off as rude, but it's really the only way to reliably stay spoiler free. It's much easier than convincing thousands of anonymous forum posters to post properly.
