I read somewhere there is a way to join the Deep Roads Expedition without investing 50 sovereigns. Is it possible?
Thank You.

I did use the more coin stuff, and didn't buy any weapons or armors or anything. And playing on normal.

Are you saying there is a total of about 116g available in Act 1? Based on what I've accumulated the max I would have had would be around 65g.

He offers it either way, I take it so I can use my 50g I saved up for more useful thing, like skill tomes or that nice ring at the black Emporium with all them stats and stuff. 100g sounds about right for Act 1 though. I tend to spend it all on potions and bonus talent points though.
Anyways point is you can take the dwarf's offer, and it wont cost you anything. Though he'll try to extort you for more in Act 2, which I like, cause I just gut the little ****.

Unless you purchased a lot of other items too, then you have not found anywhere near all the quests.m14567 wrote...
Damn, I've got no more quests and only 38g. Shouldn't have bought that tome of technique. Too bad he can't just lend me 12g and I pay him back 24g.
I purchased the tome of technique, currently have over 63g and have quite a few quests left to do.
You have to go looking for some of the quests

Kinda wonder which quests would also function normally in Act 2. I know some are the kinda thing that chains over the course of the game so I'm a bit hesitant to leave anything behind before moving into the deep roads thing.

If you can fight him later, sound like he's just a free 50g. I'll be sure to take him up on that offer.
lol, really.
I'm around 60g, but I'll use him instead. I'm trying to play a good role, but screw it. Where's this guy located?

Not 100% true. I had over 90G and I got the offer.

I think what he meant is that some people may have bought too much equipment/visited the "Blooming Rose" a bit too often and then would have to restart the game because of that, not that he's supposed to be a short cut. It's probably not even tied to a condition when he shows up. Maybe it's just supposed to be a clever business opportunity.

EDIT: Is there a pretty extensive list of quests per levels available yet?

Unless of course that part seems to fail or is bugged because I am in the boat of not having enough gold and even though I accepted the dwarfs offer of him investing for me I still get rejected by Varrics brother. It actually still shows me needing to get him maps as well. I think I'm screwed.
