Yeah, well, Arcane Warriors alone are very powerful too. AW/BM is over the top powerful, though... and yeah, Slain. Sometimes I do that. I run in with 3 buffs and cast 1 tier 4 spell and 1 tier 2 spell. Then I put on 2 more buffs... and THEN I start using health for casting.. it's kinda silly that the buffs use max mana and not the current mana..

I've fought mobs that dispel and it's annoying, but since buffs draw from max mana not current it's easy to just put them all back on.

You mean to tell me you can just turn them back on with no cooldowns?  Every sustained buff I have encountered so far has a 30-40 second cooldown before you can reactivate it.

They have no cooldowns if you've had them on longer than 30-40 seconds.. I have the buffs on at all times so if they are dispelled, I can re-apply all of them immediately.

Although I am unsure whether or not the cooldown begins again when the buff is dispelled.. I've never had anyone use dispel spells on me.

I have met a few Arcane Warrior mobs in my playthrough and they weren't really THAT awesome. However, when spending time as an Arcane Warrior I was often the target of the "Dispel Magic" spell.

If that is cast on you and you're tanking, you're pretty much f*cked.

RPG's always make the same fatal mistake.

They create a caster class, claim its "squishy" then proceed in giving them self buffs for defense and avoidance as well as high damage until they are superior to other classes.

Then they wonder why we complain.

Its an Easy Mode class for people who don't want to use tactics.

I'm not complaining I use tactics and I enjoy the versatily of my character being able to cast and fight/tank this gives me several options I wouln't have if I were pigeonholed into classic warrior-mage-rogue roles and allows me more diverse choices with whom I bring along in my party. This isn't WoW it's a single player game to be enjoyed by whomever wants to play it however they choose to play it. It's funny people ar complaining already and want to gimp themselves already, the toolset is out so really no matter what you want you can have.

Just out of curiosity I'd like to ask how is the AW godly? Tried it while ago on my mage. I put on fullplate threw few spells and got my ass handed to me in the back alleys of Denerim. I had 1 point in the AW line if I remember right and it didn't seem that godly to me or does this change with level and/or equipment?

It gets godly after the third AW spell. It makes the enemies do 1 damage to you and you'll get 75% to elemental resistances.. Shimmering Shield it's called. I bet it's even more godly after the 4th spell, don't have it yet though.. but I can solo Revenants already.

So, from level 14 is the real goal.. after you're there, you'll be unstoppable. Shimmering Shield is just that good.

Enboldened bit... Whoah... Revenents still slaughter my whole party at times.

Heh. I read the description for AW and thought "Awesome!" Then I took the first spell and began taking. I died a lot. Went back to being a regular old mage, nuking things and praying not to get breathed on to heavily. Then I got the next several tiers on AW without ever really going into melee combat. Then, in a pitched battle, most of my party died. I drew out my axe and shield as a last desperate hope, activated my buffs . . . and destroyed everything in my path. I had become death in a silly hat. It was magnificent.
