I started the path to find the grey warden (Anders in mycase) and He gave me the documents after starting a romance with him, and now my journal is telling me to go see bartrand at the dwarven merchants guild in hightown, but all he says is "cough up your 50 soverigns" or somthing and It won't give me an option to give him the maps/documents. Need replies as i have 42 soverigns and I need for my upgrades

Get eight more gold, in any event you want to complete every available side-quest and companion quest in that act before venturing into the deep roads because they won't be available after you get back.You'll even be warned to wrap up any business in the city before leaving. But doing all those quests will net to plent of gold for the expedition and for upgrades.

Check for a letter at your house. If you're out of sidequests, you'll have a cop-out through a dwarf named Dougal who will pay your way in as long as you pay him double when you return.

It's just there for people who fail to get the 50 gold. No biggie.

The quest is - get 50 golden coins to the dwarf. Until you won't have enough - you won't start the expedition. That's all O_o
