Very well, then I do not know. They promised that they had removed the "Zevran effect". But I suppose it happens, people flirt with each other, reject each other. One could gain those friendship points back too.
to be fair, I think they said they would just make it obvious when you step in a romance or not, which the game so far has adequately done. I am able to select the heart/heartbroken icon when stepping into or refusing a romance offer.

Involving opportunities for same-sex romance is "edgy"? As opposed to, I dunno, realistic? Normal?
Besides it was part of Zev's character to be flirty and shameless, if you tell him you're not interested he doesn't persist. You'll probably not be happy to know that every potential romance character is available to BOTH genders in DA2. Now if only we could see that in Mass Effect.
Please no, no no. Going gay is one thing, alien gay is just too much.
Yes but alien interspecies sex is just fine!
Which is why only Miranda will do!

Same sex romances are entirely optional content. If you don't like them, don't pursue them. We are not going to change how they're handled simply because some people are uncomfortable with them.
But youll put in blood/violence filters, amiright?

On another note, perhaps a sexual orientation option during character creation would be a nice touch.
Which is what the OP was refering too.

Then hardcore christians would complain that Bioware is advocating that people, including fictional characters, are born homosexual.

Why? You can already establish your character's orientation by rejecting the romantic advances of someone who is a gender you're not atracted to. Kind of like how it works in real life.

Its an easy change to implement, just like language filters. I mean they thought enough to inculde that option, blood chunky bits may make some ppl uncomfortable with the game.
Guys Im not advocating being anti-gay, Im just in agreeance that an option would be perferable. The two are only related by what is socially acceptable. Im sure you more highly evolved west coasters may not get this.

Comparing it to language and gore filters is offensive.
