LOL @ your username.

Funny how homophobes all have delusions of intellect and superiority; when in fact they are usually illiterate retards. Hey "literate" minority, it's spelt HYPOCRISY

By the way, in the real world you don't get a toggle to switch off homosexuality. So it would be pretty unrealistic to implement it in game. How about you simply handle it in a way any decent person in real life would? Just don't flirt back/make your own sexual orientation known.

In the real world I have the choice not to walk around with a party of gays that want into my pants. That is a huge difference. I don't want to offend anyone but that is simply how I feel. I believe that everyone should live like they want to, yet I want the same right.

In the real world, you probably work with people that are gay - you just don't know it.

In the real world, I'm sitting behind a computer wearing simpsons boxers, nothing else and eating chocolate. What's your point. I'm playing a game a kin to D&D. It's got nothing to do with the real world. If  I ran outside my house chasing bears down the street everytime they got in my trash with a sword I'd get thrown in jail. The whole it's not realistic argument is a load of crap no matter what the context is when it comes to  video games.

You can't even talk to them outside of their homes now and romance dialog is clearly marked with a heart. I'm really not getting why people are having a hard time with this.

It makes me feel uncomfortable simple having them around me in my party knowing they want into my pants. What is wrong with choosing the sex preferences of your character at the beginning of the game? It offends no one and prevents many from feeling very uncomfortable and possibly even offended.

Does being straight prevent gay people from hitting on you? Does being gay prevent straight people from hitting on you? Besides, after you reject someone are they really still obsessing over getting into your pants? Are you really so disturbed by the idea of gay people that you're fretting about this while playing the game?

I'm playing as a lesbian, Fenris hit on my character, I picked the nuetral, non-reactive reply as opposed to the a broken heart reply and so far it hasn't even come up again. It's really not a big deal.

If people are so concerned with same sex romances, just go to your local gay bar, no matter how hideous you look I promise you you'll get the action you so desperately desire, and with better graphics to boot.

So people who enjoy the straight romances in this game are ugly and need to get laid too amirite?

Mostly, yes. However, it's a lot harder to get in the sack with someone straight because their standards aren't horrifically low. Unless you like fat chicks. Or fat dudes. Hey go for it.

gay people exist...there are millions....hundred millions...just live with that.....just as you do in real life...if you are not interested in same sex just refuse it.....asking to eradicate content /sexual preference simply cause you are offended by their existance has a name....intolerance...

But you have no way of ensuring that you're not walking around with a "party of gays" either, as you have no way of forcing your perception of someone's sexuality onto them; even if they told you they're straight, they might not be (true story: gays tell everyone that they're straight until they finally come out).

Also, as far as I'm aware the characters in DA2 won't start making suggestive remarks unless you use a Heart chat with them (except Isabella, but if you're femHawke you probably aren't offended by same-sex flirting).  Of course, the heart chat is you openly hitting on them, so if you're walking around with said "party of gays", perhaps you might want to stop hitting on the guys?  (pretty sure Anders' trigger is "I like dangerous men."   It's really not that hard to avoid...)

So no female dwarves and no female Quanari mean all dwarves and Quanari are gay now too along with 80% of the humans in the game.

They should have just called it Dragon Age: Born This Way Rainbow Edition.

Great, now homosexuals are depraved sex maniacs with low standards who only want to get into heterosexuals' pants. Could someone summon the moderator again?

LOOOL oh man is your avatar your real head?

Please, enlighten us; when has your liberty been infringed upon in any way by gays existing? You're allowed to feel whatever you like; and everyone else is
allowed to take the ****** out of you for being retarded. That's how
freedom of speech works!!

You can do whatever you want; you can CHOOSE not to play Dragon Age 2 if the idea of there being gays in the game disturbs you so...

What you're asking is that Bioware change their product to suit your neurosis...

Can you not see how absurdly stupid your argument is?

Not in real life, only in Dragon Age from the mind of David Gaydar.

And I'm fine with it. Things I do not know, also do not make me feel uncomfortable. People can be as gay as can be, as long as they leave me alone with it I really don't mind. It is their choice after all. People do not choose their sexual preferences just like people do not choose what offends them in many cases. I can no more help that gay people make me feel uncomfortable than gay people can help being gay. Does "tolerance" mean to claim things that are simply not true? Is lying tolerant?

I feel offended by people that feel offended about how I feel. It seems that gay people seem to think the same way.

Thank you, John. I completely agree that those people deserved bans. The last place I expect to hear that some people are uncomfortable with homosexuality is the internet.

Not comparable at all. I'm disgusted that you think it is. So racists should continue to be racist because it's ~how they feel~? That's a weak excuse. You are choosing to remain ignorant and it's not the same thing at all. If you are uncomfortable it  is all your own doing, no one is imposing on you anything. The same can not be said about homophobes and the like. No one should have to be tolerant of intolerance.

Yes John thank you!  I love how the game accurately portays gays as shamelessly hitting on everything with 3 legs, if ya know what I mean.

So glad to see they made all male dwarves and all male Quanari too.  We have two full on gay races!  Thank you for pushing the envelope Bioware.

I suppose my biggest problem was Anders. No other character made me feel uncomfortable. It was just rather shocking to be lightly conversing with him (ie, no heart buttons), and then suddenly I was presented with a "****** anders off" and a "go sleep with a man" button.

I think it's absurd how intolerant so many of you are towards other peoples views, and feeling. Yes not everybody is comfortable with there sexuality to the same level. Some of the people playing this game may even be Pre-pubescent or at the age where things are really awkward. Remember being 12-13 Playing D&D? It was about slapping swords together, or romancing some girl. You fought your way threw a dungeon found some sweet treasure maybe saved some damsel in distress.. (Did you do it for the loot, or the nookie..heck you didn't know you were 12!) That's what these games were about.

1 Thing.. Adventure. They were simply, they were fun, they were an escape from school where the day before you were forced to right an answer on the board as you staged up to the front of the class trying to hide your boner.

The bottom line for me as I've stated many times is when you play a game a kin to D&D you are looking for action a kin to D&D. All the extra mambo jambo was just extra back story's, and filler to give those whom choose a way to experience more the universe you've embarrassed yourself into. DA2 fails to separate filler from main plot. You can not go threw the game without being forced to interact on a romantic level. For some of you ha it's cute my companions whom I am forced to rely for any chance of survival that I have is more interested hoping in the sack with me then figuring out how to go about the next leg of our adventure. To some people that ruins that atmosphere and the feel to the game. The fact that the romance option just keeps coming up again and again, and even if you choose not choose the romantic options the tone of which characters respond to you whom have romantic interest is still very obvious, and a bit unnerving a times. They should have put an if statement in where if skirted the issues, or rejected a romantic advanced from ANY character. The rest of the dialogue from said character is strictly business, or bonding as friends (for both sexes).

Don't get me wrong I understand that people look for different things out of a game, and could I have been in a jollier mood when I started this game and looking for a bit of humor I would have banged every cast remember I felt fit and never left the red blossom, but for me Romance was not what I was looking for when I purchased DA2, and getting hit with it from almost every single char in the game really just makes the storyline taxing.

Oh, and I'm a little confused with the issues with the term "gay lobby."

Please wake up and realize that there are people who think that homosexuality is wrong. Homosexuals who disagree with these people and LOBBY against them and for additional GAY rights can probably pretty safely be called a "gay lobby."
