Again SPOILERS going to mention a bit about the end.
Is there going to be an expansion or sequel to this Bioware? You've left a to be continued sort of ending. It did end, but definitely left open for a sequel or expansion. If so I really look forward to it, the story here was amazing, although I don't want a failed expansion like Awakening, that wasn't very good to put it nicely. Despite this games flaws, I have utterly enjoyed it and look forward to future releases (hopefully for Dragon Age).
I like how Lelianna and Allistair appeared in this. I think it would be cool if your original Warden could meet Hawke, the two greatest heroes in this game xD although that's probably asking a lot.
Anyway thanks again for the amazing game, enjoyed it a great deal minus the fact I can't change companion armour.

Hey, they could meet. We'll never see either again, so just imagine that they're off somewhere engaging in a prolonged handshake -- never breaking eye contact.
I don't think an expansion is going to happen. Their policy with DA2 is "add-in, not add-on".

why would they add in not add on i think they will continue the story just not to the extent that people think. The fact that when you beat the game and can only access dlc and not wander around makes me believe that they will progress the story in a small way. Just enough to EA to make some extra money from dlc

I would be fine with either.
And the Hero of Ferelden could totally make a cameo. They'd just have to put him/her in a full suit of armor (or a full mage robe with the hood shadow blocking the face) and have him/her not say anything. I imagine just seeing The Warden nod at Hawke after (s)he does something epic and walk off while your companions freak out over it would make a bunch of fans happy.

Would importing a save allow him to make an appearance if they did that? Like he'd appear as he did in Origins, that would be cool. Or maybe have him appear with Allistair, would be cool DLC
The original Warden never had a voice, so voice acting it could still work. A sequel can definitely be made from this, not just an expansion. They could probably make another game using what they've got here, and a big world like the first, as all the circles have been destroyed. It's something I'd definitely buy for sure.

Sequel. This game was made to be an in-between part in a broader storyline. A lot of the big revelations like Flemeth's return and the Gray Warden being declared missing serves the Origins story and the upcoming sequel a lot more than it does it's OWN STORY! I'm about halfway through my second play through in the game and even with all of the choices my Hawke has made, nothing is happening.
Personally, despite Hawke being declared missing, I hope that it is just coincidence that Hawke and the Warden disappear at the same time. I just don't see Hawke as a hero worthy of being on par with the Gray Warden. Unlike the Warden who had to understand what was going on and really step into countless frays in order to shape the way things were developing, Hawke was just a character reacting to the things happening rather him/her. Dagna is a far more heroic individual than Hawke is. She's head strong, has a solid goal, is willing to work with those who would sooner dismiss her, is willing to sacrifice her set life in her home city to pursue her dream and is willing to talk to strangers in order to get there. She should be by the Warden's side.

....why all the cover up? Wouldn't it be better if the game would just import the actual character model you created from your Origins save files?

Whatever they decide to do, I really really hope this isn't the end of Hawke's story, that he doesn't just end up as some plot device that comes out of nowhere in DA3 to move the plot forward, like...
...um...
...Anders.

It will be interesting to see if DA3 uses Hawke again, or a completely new protagonist.

well kirkwall is one of the biggest city so hawke is still a great hero. its like when ur warden saved red clif. so ur hawke becomes a champion. at one point when i needed to visit alistar. hes uncle said we should be going back. the hero of ferelden should be there by now. alistar also asked if i would return to ferelden.
but i seem to missed the point that my Warden hero went missing?
hawke didnt went missing. they went up the mountains just to avoid contact with other ppl then hes companions. who later on left only ur romance friend stayed..
and i dont think there will be a new DA 3. not by long. it will be the same as DA:O add-ons/ins and exspansions.
cuz the story is by far not done. flameth has major plans and so does morrigan. the dev of bioware deff have something planned for us.

It's definitely set up for a sequel. They may release an expansion, but this has a lot left in it. The original Warden and Hawke fighting together as party members would be awesome. Then I'd have trouble choosing who to use though xD If they make an expansion, I hope we get some characters from DA:O back, and maybe some from DAII mixed with some new ones, that would be cool. Morrigan ftw :] I am not happy that Hawke brought Flemeth back to life, dammit Hawke my Warden went through all that trouble to help Morrigan grrrr. At least that's what I assumed what happened, Warden killed Flemeth, the item she gave Hawke brings her back to lige, something along those lines.

I could see them wrapping up the Templar/Mage war in an expansion (DLC), but there's too many loose ends for them not to have a third sequel in mind (please EA, give them more time for DA3). The Ferelden Wardens hinted at something big and Flemeth's purpose hasn't been revealed, nor who her appointment was with.
DA:O was about the darkspawn, DA2 was about the templar/mage struggle, I could see DA3 being focused on the Flemeth character--her tale seems ripe to be truly epic in purpose given how powerful she appears to be. Of course, DA3 could be a continuation of 2 with the Divine March on Kirkwall, but the mage/templar thing was done to death in DA2.

i hope and pray for an addon or expansion so i can continue playing with my rogue, i mean mage and warrior was a lil fun... but with my personality i have to say rogue was most fun and epic for me, and i really agree with jsamlaw about the fact that they should wrap up the loose ends in DA2, like maybe also go back to fereldren, i dont know but dont let DA2 be ended like this! "dont let it end like this"!!

I think it's going to be a Trilogy like Mass Effect, the two stories have come together now, with the Warden returning soon, (unless you became queen in DA:O) the mage and Templar war, and Flemeths plans. Bioware makes the best stories. Cannot wait to play DA3 if they make it!
But really if the original Warden and Hawke joined up it would be awesome, the two greatest heroes in the same party! The original Warden never had voice acting so it's not like they can't voice act him in a sequel.
