Just curious if anyone has had time to try this, but what if you killed Anders in awakening? Like, isn't that an option when you first meet him? If so, wouldn't that screw up the storyline for DA:2, or even if you did, does he still show up?

You can import a dead Warden from DAO to DAO:A, so I guess he would be alive.

I'm pretty sure they retcon that if you do it.
...Wait, can you kill Anders? Or do you just ship him off with the Templars? I seem to remember the latter being the only option.

I could swear there was an option to kill him. I think it's before you even leave the keep to and get confronted by the templars. =/

Oh, I just found something!
"If left to defend the Keep without enough upgrades to it, Anders is found dead with an arrow through his neck with hundreds of darkspawn dead in a circle around him; none were touched with a blade, but all were felled by magic."
So, logically if you didn't recruit Justice and went against him, Anders would HAVE to be dead completely.

Retconned to fit DA2's story.

Has this been stated as true? Have people tried this? I mean how can he even get Justice, if you didn't get him. =/

The developers have indicated that if you didn't recruit Justice in DAA, then he still ends meeting Anders. He just doesn't do it in the way that he would have if you'd recruited him.

Justice always returns to the Fade, so I guess Anders met Justice if he went to the Fade. Also, remember that Wynne was dead but revived by being possessed by a spirit of Faith so Justice could keep Anders alive if he died at the Keep. I think I remember that one of the flags when meeting Nathaniel checks if Anders died at Vigils Keep so his death would be acknowledged

Yeah, but if you didn't meet him or have Justice join before then, it wouldn't be possible. They've stated that the fade is different and it's not where you go when you die, so....

Perhaps Justice helped him on the verge of death -- like Wynne's spirit... /speculation.
