if there is 1 thing i would like to see changede in the game it would be the part where your brother or sister dies,
i think it would have been better that bio made a quick diolog where u had the choice to tell your brother or sister to guard your mother then having the choice taken from you by what ever class you play,
i dont know how it would have effectet the overall story with you playing a mage with your sister then your brother but i would very much have like to find out.

what do you think?

Or even better, have the choice to grab the mother and run away instead of attacking head on! Derp derp!

I played a warrior and sided with the mages only because of keeping Bethany safe. To me it adds more of emotional element to the game. Heck I restarted from an earlier save to keep Bethany from dying in the deep roads.

Two question and I think I know the answer for the first.

1. If you play a mage I take it you get your brother instead? (There is allready alot more mage optiosn in NPC's than I like.)

2. I keep hearing the deep roads sister death. I didn't take her on this play through, if you don't take her does one of your other NPC's die in place or is it just her?

Yes, Bethanny is killed at the start if you play a mage.

There are different ways it happens, but whichever sibling survives and makes it to Kirkwall with you will be taken away from you at the end of the Deep Roads quest. Either by death, being taken to the Circle, joining the Templars, or joining the Grey Wardens.

1. Yes, you get Carver instead. God, I wouldn't know what to do with another mage if Bethany tagged along. I already had a hard time bringing Merrill with me since the fourth slot was taken up by Anders.

2. No, everyone survives if your sibling stays behind.

The only way I could make Hawke side with the Templars is if Bethany was with the Grey Wardens.

Mage Hawke would be signing his own Tranquility Rights if he sided with the Templars.

Warrior/Rogue Hawke with Bethany in the Cirlce siding with the Templars would be betraying his sister.

As for Carver in the Templars with a Mage Hawke. No longer a brother just an enemy.
