Lots of people have been having issues with this achievement.
First off, the description is "Find every variety of crafting resources." This would lead anyone to believe that simply collecting each of the four resources in the three different categories (for a total of 12) would unlock the achievement. This is not the case.
The conclusion most have drawn after that is to collect enough resources to max out the totals (9/9 Elfroot, 6/6 Spindleweed, etc.) but this still seems to not work. The people that I've seen that have unlocked it have some type of weird glitch that will give them 7/6 in one or more resources, and then they have 5/6 in one or more resoucres, and the achievement unlocks.
Please look into and remedy this. Finding all of the resources and not having the achievement unlock is ridiculous at best.
Supplier Achievement - Glitchy at best

Nobody likes talking achievements here much, do they?

I guess not, but they are a part of the game and should be addressed.

Does Bioware even have a person that tests to make sure Achievements and Trophies will properly unlock before they rush a game out?
I'm thinking they don't. Since they've not gotten it right yet on a Dragon Age game.

Yeah this is very frustrating. I took a lot of time making sure to max out the resources and I just picked up my last one. No achievement.

I think it has something to do with the Black Emporium. Did any of you buy any items from it for resources?

Posté 12 mars 2011 - 10:15
I think I bought a Spindleweed at some point by mistake. Otherwise, I would have had no reason to as I always had what I needed.

I'll make a mental note to NOT buy any crafting items from there, and see if the achievement pops for me once I max out the materials.
It'll take a while and I'll update with results, unless someone beats me to the punch.

Also, it would appear that part of the problem comes from the fact that there is a missing Spindleweed in Act 1. There are supposed to be two in Lowtown, but only one ever appears.

I'm going to try without having any purchases from the Emporium resource wise. I'll see how it goes.

Here's what i think,
The achievement say's to FIND component, not to buy them. Since the DLC shop is a dlc, i think the developers simply put the option of buying component that you have permently failed to find as a bonus to those who get bought the game new or simply purchased the dlc, so the game achievement sucess is dependant only of the base game ( if you want ) so buying missing component from shop wont undo your failed attempt at FINDING every component. Also, someone on xbox360achievements has found an additional spindleweed during act 2 dissent quest. So that make 2 spindleweed in act 2 instead of one. The fault lies into the official strategy guide.
Anyway sry english isnt my first language...

Wyvern, that's not a bad idea, but people like me did find them. I still don't have the achievement. It asks you to find every variety of component, which countless have done and still been screwed out of their achievement.

This is extremely dissappointing.
After finding my last resource and seeing it not pop I about threw my controller. No damn way am I doing another play-through with the intent of getting this achievement. Regardless of buying one or two from the DLC - Black Emporium, that shouldn't fluke the time taken to find every supply node, flower, and crap.
Again Day 1 DLC has trumped me out of getting a hard-earned achievement; I'm already boiled about my Exiled Prince achievements not popping.

It seems to me that in Act 1 is where the big bug is, They need to change one of the elfroot to a spindle. Always have 1 extra Elfroot and 1 less Spindle. Or is it just me?

I'm missing a lyrium. 8/9 lyrium and it's bothering the heck out of me. I followed the official guide and the ones on xbox360achievements to sure I have it all and somehow, I dont know how, but somehow I'm missing one lyrium and others are getting 10/9. Any one know where the last one/extras would be?

I missed about 6 resources from act 1-2. I was able to get all of them in Act 3 in the BE shop. I bought them all there and got all my rescources maxed out but no achievement unlocked? :s
At first I couldnt get all of them at the shop since I missed a lyrium from a quest in act 2. So I reloaded to that point in act 2 and played my way back up to act 3. So would me deleting my previous game saves (which completed the game) fix this problem? Or deleting the BE and reinstalling?

From what I know you need to get 3 rare ingredients to get the achievement to pop. You need to get Dragons Blood, Felandaris, and Ambrosia along with maxing out all the other ingredients in every crafting tree. All rune crafting, all poison crafting and all potion crafting to get this achievement to pop. I'm working on it. Only need one more to get the achievement to pop up.

I have confirmed that what I said in my previous post is true. You need to max out all crafting ingredients from all 3 trees and collect the 3 rare ingredients I listed for the achievement to unlock. I just did this. You can buy ingredients at the Black Emporium if you missed some in previous Acts. I had to do this because I missed two of them in Act 1 which still helped me unlock the achievement. Hope this helps.

Okay this happened to me, I was gunning for this achievement, initially misinterpreted it to mean just have at least 1 of each crafting agent. After this didn't happen, checked online for details, and saw that I needed each one, found every item except one lyrium. Must have missed it in previous act. Read that buying from the Emporium didn't work, but I decided to give it a shot anyway, nothing to lose right? Well, it DID give me the achievement after buying one lyrium. I've seen posts saying this doesn't work, not sure why but it worked for me.

Well it didn't work for me, I'm halfway in act 2 now collecting every single resource myself using a guide. Hope this will get the achievement to pop. I'll update.

I have every one maxed out so wtf. I have everything but it did not pop when i got the sixth spindleweed but most of all the desc just says one of each and that part i def got right. I was assume you needed max of all them and that still did not pop it. I did get the crafting achievement though.

Ok, dunno why it's happening for you guys. Now on third playthrough.
Playthrough 1 - natural pop no problems
Playthrough 2 ( on alternate profile to test for mate with same problem ) - BE purchase required due to missing one without realising act 2, popped upon purchase
Seems to be just a glitch and to be honest it's just as likely to power fluctuation as bad code.
Now the bounty hunter glitch? That's a bug
