Update:

(Good?) News! Due to a very helpful user who was able to provide me with some xbox saves I was able to track down the issue with Supplier. Apparently, when buying resources from The Black Emporium, if you EVER buy anything that's in a stack (>1) it will not count properly resulting in your achievement breaking. This includes trying to buy items in a stack 1 at a time. If there is only 1 on the shop, it will work just fine.

Again, the achievement fires when you reach 66 resources. So make sure if you're buying from TBE that you never buy anything that is in a stack. We're working on a solution now that we've pinpointed the problem.

*sigh* :?
Wish I had seen this last night.  I just picked up my last item (Dragon's Blood) tonight on my 3rd run through the game and was waiting for that telltale little happy bloop noise alerting me to one of my only 2 achievements left being unlocked.  I bought the 2 Spindleweeds in TBE last night.  Ugh.

It popped for me on my 3rd playthrough. Had 7/6 spindleweeds but was lacking one other herb (can't remember which one) plus I still hadn't got the final ingredient from beating Merrill's demon. I read somewhere you need a total of 66 for it to pop. Oh yeah, I did buy one ingredient from the emporium at the start of act 2. Elfroot I think it was.

I never have got the achievement for secretly meeting with the Divine, on the X-Box it's not showing- but HERE- it is. Figure that! I guess that's why I don't give a f*ck about achievements.

Well the new patch didn't work. I had a save point before collecting the last two I needed. Got them and it didn't work. Looks like this wasn't retroactive. Sigh.

Same here. Is it retroactive or not bioware?!

Ditto, if the patchnotes are correct you can now safely buy from the Black Emporium though. Looks like I may have to do a fourth playthrough though... It's a great game but I'm honestly starting to get sick of it after three full playthroughs always missing this achievement by just the slightest bit.

Yah I really don't want to do a third playthrough for one achievement. It sucks because I get those last two items and the achievement doesn't pop and I have all 66 items. Why can't the game see I have those items and give me the achievement. It's crap.

If I understand it correctly (and I probably don't) the patch has fixed the bug with stacks of resources at the black emporium but isn't retroactive. If you're lucky your might have an earlier save. As it is I now have 2 characters with 66 and one with 65 where I somehow missed recruiting isabella (ha! What I get for not looking at guides. Now I know to visit the hanged man for more than just varric / quests.... *sigh*) it's honestly really frustrating. It seems the fastest way would be to blitz the campaign and only do main story missions / the three unique ingredient missions then use the sell junk glitch to get gold and buy the mats. Fun...

So no response Bioware if this is actually fixed? It's not retroactive that's for sure. I refuse to start a 3rd playthrough for one achievement until I know I can actually obtain it.

Yes, it's fixed. No, it's not retroactive.

I can verify that it's not retroactive; I found that out for myself last night. ^_^

Here's what i think,

The achievement say's to FIND component, not to buy them. Since the DLC shop is a dlc, i think the developers simply put the option of buying component that you have permently failed to find as a bonus to those who get bought the game new or simply purchased the dlc, so the game achievement sucess is dependant only of the base game ( if you want ) so buying missing component from shop wont undo your failed attempt at FINDING every component. Also, someone on xbox360achievements has found an additional spindleweed during act 2 dissent quest. So that make 2 spindleweed in act 2 instead of one. The fault lies into the official strategy guide.

Anyway sry english isnt my first language...

I would believe this if my friend didn't get the achievement by buying some from Black Emporium then finding a Spindleweed >.> Uhg Wish mine would unlock

Achievement still does not unlock despite starting a new file after the recent patch release. Fourth time's the charm?

Wow that is horrible. Did you collect every one or buy some from the Black Emporium?

I started a new playthrough with the newest patch. I collected 65 and missed one Spindleweed, I then bought that Spindleweed from the Black Emporium and the achievement did not unlock.

Will try again, someday.

I just finished with all ingredients, and no supplier achievement. This is not counting items from the Black Emporium, as I was thinking they didn't count...?

Does that mean you actually collected every item "in the wild" and did not buy any in the Emporium?

Sorry for not being clear. ;)

That's exactly what I meant. I didn't buy any ingredients from the Black Emporium.  I thought I had read in another thread that those didn't count towards the Supplier achievement anyway, so I didn't bother buying any.

But in the end, I still got skunked.

Seriously, I think you should get the supplier achievement just for playing, or scrap the achievement entirely. It's frustrating playing all the way through AGAIN, and getting skunked AGAIN. I kinda had a feeling this wouldn't be fixed when Sketchy on the Details wasn't. Sadly, I was right. Maybe in the next patch.

I don't think this is a long wait for DLC, though. I'd rather wait longer, and have a better product than pay for something half-arsed. Besides, there has been DLC already - Black Emporium, The Exiled Prince, the new item sets. It's coming, have patience. ;)
