How do I do it? Can't seem to pick Varric's armor at Sandals menu....

If you already have the rune slot piece for his armor, it may be a bug. For me it works the same as any other piece of armor.

Ah. I'm and idiot. There is an "armor" button in Sandals menu.... :-P
