Hi all,

A bit of a weird one for you.

I was playing DA2 last night, saved my progress as usual, was in Kirkwall at the time, and went to bed.

When I tried to load my saved game today, the load game option was greyed out and there was no resume. I've checked the save game folder and the char details are still there, the saved games are there, but they're not recognised.

I'm able to succesfully create a new character and save games using the new one, but I don't want to replay the hours of my original if I can help it. The achievements I got from my original char are still valid too.

I've also tried creating a new character with the same name, class etc and copying the save game files to that folder with no luck.

Anyone got any ideas on what the problem might be, and what I can do to fix it?

I have the same problem as well, though mine was after my electricity was cut off suddenly due to power trip, and next thing i know after starting my pc/game again, i can't load my level 10 rogue game....no problem with new game at all.

Well it's nice to know I'm not alone.

Just wish there was a fix..

Really weird, but I had more of a play around with things.

I found that by creating a new player with the same class/looks etc, and then copying the Autosaves from my previous broken char, I was able to continue from the last autosave I did.

Phew.

So in summary, if you run into this in future: create a new, identical char and copy over the autosaves from your broken char. And possibly the xml as well. It should work then

same problem here. The new games seem to be save elsewhere because they are not in documents/dragonage2/bioware...
I erased this folder but i can still save new games. No new folder has been created. I really wonder where they are now... Search gave nothing...
