When and where do I aquire these two? I'm still in Act 1 - I think? I haven't progressed much in Kirkwall....
I just want to be sure I haven't missed them or done something to keep from getting them as a companion.
Any help would be appreciated.

After you get Anders you can find Isabela in the Hanged Man. Anders is required to go to the Deep Roads (he's the Grey Warden with the maps) so you can't miss him.

He's not required.. it is mandatory if you don't want to lose your sibling though, that is if you take either with you to the expedition.

Oh.. that's what I thought you meant. Yes he's required for the map themselves.

Thanks, - I have yet to do the maps so that explains it. Sometimes I take some much time exploring and time gets away from me that it feels like I am further into the game than what I am.
I just wasn't sure if this was one of those situations where if I made choose A then companion A is not accessible or vice versa.
