The first year of the decade is X1. There is no 0 to start. So the full ten years would start 1st January 2011 and end on 31 December 2020.
So you didnt celebrate the milennia change at 2000, but 2001? Lol, you are so wrong.

DA2 is the best RPG of the decade at the moment. Great story, great action, almost perfect balance between the two. There is a lot of open sobbing on the forums right now, but positive change (which this is) always has detractors.

"The Best RPG of this decade? Says PC Gamer"
The best RPG of the decade? It's 2011! You lose all credibility when you say something like that. At least with me you do.
Gregorian calendar, the time scheme western civilizations use, does not have a year zero. It went directly from 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. A decade is 10 years, 1+10=11. Each subsequent decade thus starts on the 1 and ends on the 10. There is no room for interpretation here. Hell, even the Julian calendar had no year zero.Ascorius wrote...

It's a play on words to get media attention because as many have stated, we're only in the third month of this decade so far (there was no year zero, so don't even start with me).
No the decade started 1 year and 3 months ago. 2011 is obviously 1 year into the new decade. Its not like the next decade will start in 2021.
So all the games from 2010 has to be taken into account.

They're just trying to get it in there as early as possible, that way if it does end up being the best in 9 years time they can say "Look, we told you first. Arent we great?"

That means they are saying it's the best RPG of the past year and 3 months, basically. They're still full of **** with their 94% rating, however. Personally, I found this quote more /facepalm inducing:

Doesn't mean that they're right. I see 2000 as an epoch, personally, with 2001 marking the start of the millennium.Ascorius wrote...

Doesnt matter, mate. Thats not how it is used today. The millennia changed at 2000, not 2001... most of the western world agreed upon that.

Well we're only 1 year into that "decade" and already they are catastrophically wrong. Mass Effect 2 was better. Even Fallout: New Vegas was a better RPG.
