Personally I can't wait for Diablo 3.
I think that will be a serious contender even though veterans of the RPG genre have written the Diablo franchise off as mindless clickfests (which they can be ).

Diablo 3 is looking beautiful and stylised and a lot of fun. They even have Leonard Boyarsky as their creative lore head - one of the designers behind Fallout and Troika's Arcanum.

Looks like EA chose the ''Best game of the decade package'' from PC gamer. I heard the Game of the Year and Editor's Choice packages were pretty expensive, but damn the one they chose probably cost em an arm and a leg.

Right I forgot game reviewers have a PhD in video game reviewing and need an intense education in vidya games before having the necessary qualifications to rate a game.

PC Gamer gives everything high scores.  If you get an 85 you basically made the worst game ever.  I mean, look at the Dawn of War 2 expansions' review: a couple pages about how the new campaigns are boring, the multiplayer still sucks, the IG have nothing noteworthy to warrant wasting the time to create them, and that the game as a whole continues to miss the mark of a massive army combat game.  Score?  88.  Do everything wrong, still get an 88.

I understand Bioware wanting to follow the ME2 way of streamlining things a bit, but did they have to go so OTT on the matter, while the RPG elements, depth and scale of ME2 was reduced somewhat, it also refined a hell of a lot of details and made the game damn near unbelieveable and epic.

If what we have heard is true, combing the depth and RPG side of ME1 with the combat and story of MW2 should make ME3 the RPG of the decade.

ME2 and New Vegas, much better then DA2.

I think we can safely say PC Gamer was extremely biased. They got so many exclusive stories and got such early access to the game that it was impossible for them not to be.
