@Naitaka & HotshotMAR: Ah, alright, thanks!

Can I do the same thing to my Witch Hunt save so that I don't have to do that every time I start a new game?

[EDIT] Also, has anyone noticed any other important keys that I should copy over? I just found out that I can't shift-select them all at once <_<

There's some great info in this thread, I'm glad there's been some progress in figuring out where the flags are being read incorrectly/imported improperly. Hopefully this will lead to a more permanent fix in the near future.

The better question is, why are we left to do Bioware's QA for them? This is a total embarrassment from a company that made such a smooth import function for Mass Effect 2. You'd think if they were going to steal so much from the framework of that game, they'd at least take the common functional elements as well...

I have loaded about 10 different DA:O saves with different romances. I can see all the trees that are supposed to be there, but I still get the same results. Oh well.

Same problem here, went through the addon and the dlc (Origins ==> Awakening ==> Golems ==> Witch Hunt) and now my romance flags seem to have disappeared. Also, the Architect is supposed to be dead in my save, but apparently he isn't. Could somebody please tell us if you are working on this? Save games being imported incorrectly is a heavy flaw in a game that is supposed to be about the choices we make.

I have met Leliana and I got neither options. When I asked is she THE Leliana, she said that I must have heard stories about their adventures and it was long time ago. Nothing about he is dear to me nor I haven't seen him for a while. Do I get the good solution ?

In the Awakening I had the ending that Warden joins Leliana for
further adventures so I guess this ending is true, but I have concerns.

All the issues seem to be due to some problems in the gen000pt_vault script. It converts the values from the world vault into plot flags. I *should* be able to "fix" some of the problems (such as removing the approval check, and fixing the broken leliana made love flag).

What I need to know is which flags don't seem to be importing properly for people so I can check their cases in the script.

I've found another bug, the Romance Morrigan flag seems to come out as true no matter what you set for the flag as long as you put a high approval value. I tried it with and without Witch Hunt played, with and without Ritual and it always come out as true as long as the approval is set about 91.

Some more info here. Using an awakening save, compared to an origin save, has the flags set almost identically (except for awakening specific info). However the script reports no romance with leliana. However in awakening imports it doesn't import any of the character state details of origins party members (specializtions, talents, xp, approvals, etc). That appears to be quite important.

Looking at the world vault info in the save game  these are details of what it contains:

The 17603 array stores various basic character information about party members (attributes, xp, level, approval, etc). It is significantly smaller in awakening saves as it doesn't include any details of Origins party members.
The 17606 array stores information about the player as well as Skills, Talents, Spells and Equipped Items of party members. Again it is significantly smaller in awakening saves because it lacks any of the details from Origins party members.
The 17607 array contains the plot flags as well as what specializations each party member had. Awakening saves have none of the specializations flags set for any Origin party members.

The 16401 array is plot flags indexed by plotguid. The worldvault file lists the various giuds used by origins when importing the data into the other arrays. This stuff seems to just have been directly copied from the imported savegames SAVEGAME_PARTYLISTSAVEGAME_PLOTMANAGERSAVEGAME_PLOT_LIST. I dont think its directly used by the game except to set the other arrays the first time. This array is quite a bit larger in awakening savegames compared to origin ones. My guess is all the data here is kept when importing origin savegames into awakening, though i haven't done a great deal of comparisons.

All that stuff said play around i found the following which explains a lot.

tl;dr

If DAO_LELIANA_APPROVAL (value 1133 in array 17603) is less than 91 or APP_LELIANA_ROMANCE_ACTIVE (2042 in array 17607) is false then the zz_vault_debug reports no romance. As the approval rating for Origin party members is not in Awakening savegames then it always reports no romance. Adding the missing DAO_LELIANA_APPROVAL value into an awakening savegame and setting it to a value above or equal to 91 does as expected cause zz_vault_debug to report the player did romance leliana.

I would like yo know where you actually find the named lines "DAO_LELIANA_APPROVAL" and "APP_LELIANA_ROMANCE_ACTIVE ". Are you looking for this in the DA2 save or a DA:O save, because I didn't find those lines in either one?

Even by looking in an Origins save where the numerical lines are listed (copying them ito the DA2 save does nothng), I see no refernces such as those. Can you point those out exactly?

adding 1443 (DAO_NATHANIEL_APPROVAL) with a value of 100 to the list still got Nathniel left the Warden. Is there another flag I have to set?

The very first post in this thread tells you how to find it.  It is the worldvault.gda file in 2da.rim.

It is the table listing all the number values for each flag.  You can then use that to referrence the world vault information in the savegame.

You also have to set Nathaniel_friendly_Eligable to 1. it's somewhere in 17607 array, just check the worldvault.gda for it if you can't find it.

Thanks for digging into this!

Hmm, I tried importing an Origins save with Zevran romanced at 100 approval.  I got one of his romanced flags to show as true in the debug console (he and Alistair have 2, and I'm not sure what affects the one that seems out of place -- I've never heard of it being true for the handful of Zevmancers testing this).

It also said I romanced Morrigan, which is false.

In my Witch Hunt import, both of Zevran's romance flags were false, and Morrigan was not romanced.

I modified the WH import game to add in Zevran's approval, and got his standard romance flag to show true, as in the Origins import.  The "extra" flag is still false.

I debug-jumped to the Zevran quest, and he gave no acknowledgment of the romance -- but I've *never* heard of him doing so.  (And this is what we're curious about over on Team Zevran -- whether he's supposed to or not!).

Whooo thanks Monochrome Wench!

Had no idea it could be the approval value that was messing up Leliana's plot flag in my Witch Hunt import.

Copied that over to my game save and voila! proper dialogue!

I ran the zz_vault_debug, and was surprised when it told me Anders had died and that I did not save Vigil's Keep. This hasn't made any difference so far (I hope) but the game seems to not know that I fully upgraded the Keep and everyone survived. I imported from a Witch Hunt save.

I think that is 2085 or something, and I already set it at 1.

The vault debug command still says he left the warden.

Do I have to save Vigil Keep as opposed to save Amaranthine?

These are the flags I used so far...

DAO_LELIANA_APPROVAL - (1133, 17603)
DAO_MORRIGAN_APPROVAL - (1195, 17603)

APP_LELIANA_ROMANCE_ACTIVE - (2042, 17607)
APP_MORRIGAN_ROMANCE_ACTIVE - (2046, 17607)
GXA_APP_NATHANIEL_FRIENDLY_ELIGIBLE - (2085, 17607)

Edit:

APP_LELIANA_MAKE_LOVE - (2043, 17607)
APP_MORRIGAN_MAKE_LOVE - (2047, 17607)

Another bug it seems : the "secret rendez-vous" quest should pop only if Amaranthine was saved as it said in the guide book. If i check the vault, i got Vigil Keep saved and Amaranthine not saved which is true.

Yes, and I had done that when that post was made . I found the actual refernces as she listed them. But I was under the impression that it was listed in the save as well by her descriptions, that is what I meant. So, I was worried that nothing carried over. Anyway. I can now only get it to acknowledge that Leliana and I had a romance, but we didn't make love. In any case, that may be all that is needed anyway.

It doesn't work, as the settings you apply to the created save are ignored, just as the same flags already in the saves I have from Origins/Awakenings/Witch Hunt are ignored.

The guide says that if your warden romanced him, then he's not supposed to have sex with Isabela or your Hawke, but it makes no mention of whether or not he references the warden at all.

Yeah, meant to put that in too -- he definitely still throws himself at Hawke at the moment. ;)

But!  Terra_Ex tinkered with the talktables and discovered that Zevran does have dialogue that references the Warden -- and him turning down Isabela and so on.

As far as flags go -- ejoslin reports that romanced Zevran, whose Warden has done the Ultimate Sacrifice, will turn Isabela down.

So there is no way to get the make_love flag correctly in DA2. Is there?

How do I find the Nathaniel Approval code line? I had to find the Leliana one by importing an Origins save....will the same work for Nathaniel if I import an Awakening save? Or, can I add his manually?

*EDIT*

Just to confirm, I added the lines for approval for Leliana, Morrigan, and Zeveran to my DA2 save.  I also checked all romance and plot flags to ensure they transferred properly.  I fired up my save and played "Faith" and Leliana had the correct dialog ("he was dear to my heart").

I hope Zevran is fixed, as well.  We'll see.

THanks to the folks in this thread.  I wish Bioware would devote more resources to QA for this stuff as it appears some of you found it REAL fast.  They should at least hire some of you to Beta test!
