Constant crashing during conversations... not one after turning autosave off. For me,it seems autosave was the culprit.
Freezing at "Enemies Amongst Us" possible fix.

Thanks, turning off auto-save and un-equipping worked. I, um, lost some of my equipment for some reason but at least I am past the quest. Sounds like it's a good idea to leave auto-save off, so I am going to do that.

sigh first (and i hope) only problem im encountering thus far with the game
highly annoying, tried turning OFF AutoSave, did no good
same goddamn effin feezing problem
after 4 freezes and 4 PS3 power offs since that's the only bloody thing you can do
im gonna give the game a break and try later to do some quests and come back to this one...
this is awful

because this is irking me to no end now and because IT IS gamebreaking.. i decided to try what someone mentioned as absurd as it may sound..
go naked
-.- ....so i strip my hawke.. nothing equipped.. and sure enough no freezing encountered.. crazy mage group conversation went off without a hitch
however now that the fighting has begun.. i paused the game, equipped my items once more... and well..
it froze
yeah... it froze again. so now im thinking it's due to something in the unlockable items or something.. i don't know.. i'll try it again once i get over my sheer anger at Bioware not even acknowledging GAMEBREAKING FREEZING BUGS

exactly what did i do? did i go naked? delete my save files? re-start over?
nope
i finished 2 side quests (I think Herbalist Task and I forgot which other but it involved a Qunari mage)
anyhows.. i go back in except this time I go AT NIGHT, and it went thru without a hitch
so yeah
game is perfect for me again *knock on wood*
-finished 2 side quests
-re-did this Darktown quest AT NIGHT

You've gotta be sh*tting me. Unequipping the items on Hawke, turning off auto save and turning off EA (or Bioware) feedback worked. Except putting the clothes on in the middle of the fight, that caused a freeze talking to Keran. So I took out the blood mages and got naked again before talking to Keran. Very annoying, but it works.
