So im assuming crit chance applys to mages magic attacks just as it does for rogues and warriors melee attacks right? And if so, is it very useful for mages to have crit chance at all?

Im not sure, but if crit chanse only applies to staff attack id imagine its pretty useless. Atleast on hard, a mage has to autoattack a mob for like several minutes to kill it.
Come to think of it, i never ever really paid attention to the fact if spells could crit O.o

I think the spirit mastery increases crit chance and it wouldn't make a lot of sense if it only worked on the staff. However, I wouldn't spend any points on dex for more crit. Without high cunning it won't be as effective anyway. If you can get it on your gear though, go ahead and take it.

yeah thats wat i was wondering about gear that has crit chance..cos i have the mod that lets you wear anyarmor or weapon reguardless of class and alot of the armors that i want to wear for my "arcane warrior" have some crit chances and such so i didnt want to wear them if that was useless..
