So I gathered up all the pieces of the Spiral Eye set during act one and Hawke is sitting pretty in his nice white robes. I'm now in act 2, though, and I'm wondering: are there any mage item sets in this act or act 3 and, if so, where can I get them?

In act 2 there's the Overseer set, which is pretty awesome looking and in Act 3 there's the champion gear.

Okay, so I've played through a good chunk of chapter 2. For the uninitiated, here's where I got my items.
Boots: Found during Varric's mission during act II, in the last room with his brother
Gloves: Found in a chest in the last room in the act II with your "mother".
Hood: Drops off a mercenary leader as you leave the Viscount's office when he talks to you about Seamus in act II
I still have no idea where the chestpiece is, I think it may drop in act III.

I would like to know this as well. I really like playing my mage but I can't stand looking at those rediculous robes.
On a side note, why did they have to make Willpower a Requirement on Mage armor? It completely gimps my Blood Mage build since I have to invest in Willpower to (eventually) wear the Champion armor. It's a great set and definitely the best looking. (So far the ONLY set I know of that isn't like the starter armor or Robes.) I guess I could gimp my Blood Mage even more an invest in Strength to wear low tier warrior armor. <_<
Edit: I'm also a bit peeved that Merril can be a way better Blood Mage than me. Hell, I WISH I hade her spells.

If you're looking for the robes of the Overseer they may be in a shop. I think they repleace the Stonehammer Armor (or whatever it is called) that the warrior can collect. And the chest piece for that was at Olaf's in Hightown. I doubt the robes would be at an armourer but try the magic shops.
