Thoughts? Am I thinking too much into this?
Also, if my warden DOES show up later on she and Leliana better get some happy time. I spent a lot of time getting her to fall in love with me.
Some have speculated that when Cassandra said the Warden disappeared as well, it could possibly mean that the Warden's dead body disappeared. So she still could have been referring to the Hero of Ferelden even if someone imported the ultimate sacrifice ending. It's not as dramatic as the idea of the living Warden Hero disappearing along with the Champion, though.ToastPants wrote...
I found it interesting how in most of the game they refer to your warden from DA:O as "The Hero of Ferelden", but in the final scene Cassandra refers only to "The Warden". I was thinking that this is maybe to open up the possibility of your DA:O character appearing in future installments (be they DLC, expansions, or DA3). Since many people's warden canonically died at the end of Origins, it would be impossible to have them show up later on alive. But referring to the dissappeared character as simply "The Warden" instead of "The Hero of Ferelden" opens up the options for it to be either your character or simply the current warden commander. Sort of like in Awakening where you could choose to import an Origins character or create a new one.

That makes no sense if your Warden was a Human Noble or a City Elf. Fereldens have funeral pyres for their Heroes/Kings. Unless someone snatched up a jar of Warden ashes I can still see some people upset by the DAII ending.Minxie18 wrote...

As for why anyone would be checking the Hero of Ferelden's tomb to see if the body was there or not, who knows.
Have the Warden be voiced by whatever voice set you chose for him in Origins. Simple.TheDarkRats wrote...
If we saw the Warden again, they would need a voice. Who would voice them? Considering the voice in-combat choices in DA:O (wise, mystical, ect..) would we just have one vanilla voice? Hmm...
What's wrong with someone snatching up a jar of Warden ashes? Andraste was nothing but ash and her remains were still important. Just sayin'.TexasToast712 wrote...

I honestly think Hawke and the Warden will both be dead in DA3. The revelations that arrive from that would develop the story quite a bit more than if they were alive. IMO Hawke's role wasn't to side with the Chantry or the Circle, it was to start the war.

I don't think they'll be dead. Or at least Hawke won't. Otherwise they wouldn't have made a point of Varric seeming so certain he/she is still alive.
And I sure HOPE my warden isn't dead. I got way to attached to her. And so did Leliana damnit! lol
People don't die in DA. They are just lying dormant until the next retcon.Iecerint wrote...
