Im calculating it based on isabella but i dont imagine for hawke to fall behind.
At lv 9 she has 15% crit base with no item bonuses
Precision adds 10% (i belive its best 1 point spent, also improvable by 5% more crit)
Improved Heroism from mage adds 10% crit
Unforgiving chain - stacks for 20% - ( i just dont know if the ability that follows and breaks the chain does benefit from it ?)

That makes a 55% crit so far
at 12 she will be able to take passive in swashbuckler for another 20% crit
that kicks for 75% crit chance w/o item bonuses and higher dex )

oh almost forgot that for flanking you get some crit bonus but i have no idea how much.

This realy makes talents that give 100% crit chance in specific situations look poor ...

IS crit stackign the way to go for rogue?

Seriously, it's hard to *not* have a giant crit chance. My Hawke stopped using Precision because her accuracy was already 100/100/100, and I still have a crit chance of 70%+. Crits are responsible for a large portion of your damage output. It's also important to invest in Cunning, since those crits don't do very much without bonus crit damage. On that note, the Assassin passive that adds your cunning to your crit damage (again) is very important in order to get Crit Damage multipliers of more than 150%.

And yes, I also noticed that the passives that give you free crits in specific situations a poor choice, except perhaps for the Shadow passive that also makes your crits Disorient your targets. Of course, that requires you lose either Assassin or Duelist... which I'm simply not willing to do.

Nope I would say boosting crit damage is more important than crit stacking. The assassin does his boss killing damage through use of his abilities most of which have 100% crit chance. With high stamina regen in end game you should be spamming these big damage abilities almost non-stop.

its obvious that with high crit rit damage becomes more important then crit itself - expecially since we start with low crit damage bonus. What im wondering if to chase after talents that give me crit or buff existing abilities.(example a 100% crit chance on backstab).
With haste auto attacks rly kick while most of the time my abilities are on CD (hardly having stamina starvation even without the scoundrel talent)
