I would not advice you to read further if you're playing MageHawke or left Bethany home when going to the deep roads!
Quick question. When the deep road thing had neared its end, Bethany got the same fate as Ser Wesley. For the first time I have felt at unease and sorrowful when Bethany died. What would happen if I let her stay at home, am seriously willing to redo all that if Bethany would remain with me. Would she be killed by the templars if I left her at home?
Is this inevitable? (Crucial Bethany spoilers inside)

If you leave Bethany at home she will be forced to join the Circle. If you take her to the deep roads, make sure you have Anders in your party. He will suggest looking for the Grey Wardens that are on an expedition in the deep roads aswell. Beth becomes a Grey Warden and lives, but will be gone from the game 'till the endgame.

She will be taken into the circle.
If you take Anders with you and Bethany to deep roads - Anders will find something, that will help Bethany to survive.
Bethany leave either way. Circle or Anders friends.
