Anders. I thought he was written so badly. No growth, no arc, just.. Bad. It would've been okay to be that one-dimensional if he was likable, but even my pro-mage apostate couldn't take his constant self-righteousness and hypocrisy.

Isabela... That little, argh. She with her relics.
Later in the game, maybe Anders, though I have to give credit to him, that was one of a blast he did there!

Least favorite: Fenris, I have tried so hard to please this guy but all he does it yell at me ; ;
Most disappointing: Anders, my FAVORITE mage from Awakening, who was so jovial and funny is now totally devoid of joy. It must be Justice. I need an excorsist.

Fenris, I should have thrown his ass off the first bridge I saw for talking all that garbage about how awful mages are. I like mages, toolbag.

Carver - I always played warrior or rogue to save bethany because he dialogue is more interesting: Like how she saves me from slitting my own throat and how i defend her against templars

Carver is a bit tedious from what little I've played as mage. Fenris is incredibly annoying both in his voice and how he's just mean to Merrill or Bethany. I've never liked Anders and Isabella abandoning me was a bit annoying. If I play with Fenris more I will find that I really hate him, but I like his abilities so.

Didn't like:
1. Anders
2. Isabela
Neutral:
1. Fenris
2. Bethany
Had some respect for:
1. Aveline
2. Sebastian
Really liked:
1. Varric
2. Merrill
Both Isabela and Anders top my list. Isabela was realyl one-dimensional from my point of view, and what Anders did in the end was completely unregrettable.

Anders. As sad as that is, because I really liked him in Awakenings. But his constant self-righteous rants at Merrill really made want to nut-punch him repeatedly.

Worst is Anders.

I didn't play Awakening but I absolutely detested Anders which is a pity because after completing my first run through I really do think he would've been interesting to romance...unfortunately he's such an insufferable self righteous ****** that I have a hard time even bringing him along on quests, goddamn. Even my pro-revolutionary Mage had to kill that dude.

My opinions on our party members;
Bethany - Peasent with the personality of toilet paper. I feel bad for defending this walking piece of cardboard over Carver prior to the game being released.
Carver - Huge douche, but at least he has a personality, which puts him way, way above Bethany. Still a derp.
Fenris - I don't know if it's possible to be more emo doom and gloom negativity. Remember the Slap Morrigan mod? We seriously need a Slap Fenris mod to use everytime he ****es about something.
Anders - Just as I predicted, he's still girly boy Anders with goth overtones when his eyes turn blue. Still crying like a little girl over a cat too. What red-blooded man cries over a cat?
Merrill - Incredibly stupid and naive, and yet, it's hard to find anything annoying about that. I never would have guessed she'd become my favorite companion.
Isabela - If you thought that perhaps that Playboy Bunny body was hiding some deep character, you were wrong. Shallow **** screwing anything that walks (and I'm sure anything that can't) as a way to cope for being a sex toy as a young woman. /boggle
Aveline - The one real person amongst the lot. If they'd given her supermodel looks, she'd probably be the closest thing to a perfect character Bioware ever made. I'm rather glad they didn't, as her mannish looks just adds to her realness. She and Merrill are the only two companions that didn't make me want to reach through my monitor and ****-slap.
Varric - Ok, almost forgot about the charming dwarf. He had no real emo issues either, so he gets to join Aveline and Merril as a companion I didn't want to ****-slap.
Oh, and Alistair as a drunk in the Hanging Man. It would have been incredibly awesome to have him as a secret companion. Drunk Alistair who spouts off line after line denigrating the Wardens? Would have been the best companion of all!

**** boy Anders, they took someone who I liked to see do Stand-up Trio with Alistair & Zevran, made him Princess Crybaby.
I am trying my best to remember Anders before D.A.2 to deal with him, but ol' **** eyes continues to ruin that memory of him. I think bioware did this to show us their dicks are bigger then ours, because we loved him so much, put him right up there with Alistair in fandom, that they had to martyr one them out, to show who has the power.
They also knew if they touched Alistair, they could come to work find their building on fire, so they took safer route to flaunt it. Used a cop out, by saying look Justice(the guy most every one disliked anyways) hooked in him, now we can double screw you guys over, haha!

-Fenris was a bit too much of the ol' brooding, mary sue anti-hero.
-Isabella is so far kind of what I expected. Shallow, horny idiot.
-Anders is an annoying, two dimensional character with no reason for me to like or care about him even before he becomes a mass murderer.
Varric and Merrill are really great though, I love those guys. Aveline too.

Both the Siblings (Bethany and Carver)
As for the lasting Compaions can't say I had anyone I disliked, Fenris and Aveline both stood by myside at the end when I sided with the Mages and they were my two under used characters since I played a Two Handed Warrior (Which actually towards the end could take quite the beating for the party)

Scale of 1-10 on Each Companion
Bethany: 7 - Great Character, sad when she becomes a warden/dies, you genuinely miss her
Carver: 4 - While you genuinely miss carver when he dies, you also remember that he's a jerk and also the fact that he becomes a templar if you don't take him irks me
Sebastian: 3 - He's too one dimensional, simple as that
Anders: 6.5 - Same problem as sebastian, he's also become a very polarized character and while his motives aren't difficult to gauge, he's not very approachable.
Fenris: 8.5 - A VERY dynamic character, my qualms with fenris mainly extend again to the fact that he's not a very open character.
Isabella: 8.5 (10 Dialogues though) - Isabella is a lot more complicated than she seems, especially if you think of her DAO appearance. Her character design physically is a bit misleading but hell, her party banters and dialogues left me reeling with laughter.
Varric: 10 - Varric is the man, enough said.
Merrill: 10 - Merrill is quite possibly the morrigan of DA II, definitely not as IMPORTANT as morrigan was and by no means AS indicative of the internal turmoil of kirkwall as morrigan was to ferelden, she nevertheless embodies the character that understands little of the world around her and is the one that needs guidance to survive. My only qualm with her is that her questlines ARE BUGGED TO OBLIVION.
Aveline: 9 - Aveline is great, she's like Dragon Age's Chuck Norris in her own regard but at the same time remains a character that is both engaging and interesting to talk to.

From what we saw before release, I though I wouldn't like Aveline, but I have a healthy respect for her now. In fact, I fell in love with everyone. Isabela and Varric for their comedy, Sabastian for his rightousness, Merrill for her slight and strangely cute draftness, Aveline for her toughness. Hell, she subtlu threatened to kick my ass if I undermined her authority again.
The only one I disliked was Fenris. I constantly gained rivalry points with him because I wouldn't meekly bear his mood swings and wasn't all "Omfg malficar!" I hate that albino **** so much!

Anders and Isabella really pissed me off. Although I hesitate to even call him Anders considering the complete and pointless retcon his character got for no adequate reason.

Anders - he can't keep it in his pants for five minutes when I'm having a conversation with him. I've rejected his...advances on numerous occasions, but like some random college guy, he just doesn't understand "no".
Took me awhile to figure Sebastian out, but no he's one of my favorites. He was always mad early on with my decisions - same with Fenris. Hell, somehow my giving a gift to Fenris gained +15 rivalry points.
Like many people, there's just something about Merrill to enjoy for the entire game.

TBH non of them really stand out as much as Alistair and Morrigan. Maybe its cus those two had such good banter which added to their relationship and thus the characters in my eyes.
So far Aveline and Varric would be my fave characters, but they still don't feel as prominent as Al and Morrigan.
I hope we can help Aveline go all the way to the top of the Guards, helped her get the Captain position. What I want is that we get her to the top Guard Commander spot and she is instrumental in transferring power from the Templars back to the Viscount and the Guardsmen.
Ave and varric for me too, Fen & Anders are just little whiney bastards merrils annoying, isabella's one track **** mind gets old, and sab is annoying with the whole religion thing throughout the whole game.
they dont even compare to DAO companions save maybe varric.
