More or less looking for something outside of quests and loot.

Does the difficulty level effect the amount of coins you get as a drop?

Yeah those 100+ gold items are so impractical to get. Especially on hard mode. You need to spend so much on potions that saving up for a decent item is just not practical.

If you bring the difficulty down to normal you will get a lot of gold merely because you dont have to throw all the money away on potions.

I used extra coin/loot from mobs items and runes, not sure if they stack though. And yeah, couldn't afford any of the expensive items on hard.
