So, in witch hunt, my Warden went through Eluvian mirror with morrigan. At the end of DA2, it was revealed that the Warden disappeared.
Hawke disappeared too. Merrill was doing something with Eluvian. She is apparently missing too, at least in my game.
Does anyone see a possible connection? Perhaps warden follows morrigan later anyway, even if it's not chosen. Perhaps Hawke does something with the Eluvian even if merrill dies.
Eluvian (end game spoilers)

I don't think so. But you could be right. I did not follow Morrigan in but I still wonder why they say he might have? This is going to have to be cleared up. I have a few ideas for DA3

no because witch hunt doesn't put any import flags into DA2. i know because when i met alistair and tegan in DA2 they said the hero of ferelden was in denerim even when i went through the eluvian as well. bioware, you need to fix that please.

I don't really think there's any connection. It's just Lellianna making assumptions like always.
Besides I think Merrill trashes the mirror either way.

i think that the warden has not yet followed morrigan through the eluvian mirror at the time in which we meet king alistair, dont forget that the game is only set over a decade and begins at the time in which the blight started, which i think lasted 2 years, going off what some guy said in the hanged man. It is allot later on when the warden tracks down morrigan, well at least thats what im lead to believe.
but this is all well and good, but as stated on the witch hunt, it is meant to set us up for da2, yes after playing it i see absolutely no set up for da2 what so ever and the mirror doesn't play much of a roll, after meeting Alistair, Lellianna and ofc cant forget Teagan, i was half expecting to reform the mirror and for Morrigan to return with my DA1 elf's and her god spawn baby and be the new end bad guy(s) or at least cause something to happen, but meh i guess that could of course be a great DLC add-on for them to add later on. And what about Flemmeth she wasn't in it long, was expecting to meet her again but didn't, and i did every side quest also, but again maybe its gonna be DLC.
Anyway i foresee allot of add-ons for this game, as i feel there is allot that needs adding, it took me the best part of a week to finish DA1 but only 2 days to finish DA2, really hope for more stuff coz im a little let down atm, atleast with content, the game play itself is fantastic.

The timeline seems a bit of a mess, as Witch Hunt clearly takes place at most 1-2 years post Blight. And if you chose, your Warden went with Morrigan into the Eluvian 1-2 years post Blight.
Yet Alistair makes mention (in my game at least) of the Hero of Ferelden coming back to Denerim in Year 7.
Yet, Leliana and Cassandra talk of the Warden in Year 10 as if he's disappeared.
It would seem either the Warden came back for a bit and ran off again, or the Alistair reference is messed up. Which could be the case as Nathaniel thought my Warden spared the Architect when I clearly killed him.

I don't know where the Eluvians lead, but obviously the demon in Merril's quest wanted her to restore the mirror so it can enter the world and leave it's prison. Anyway, since you only can step into it as the Warden in a DLC I think it may just not be a good idea to do that. And I think Hawke didn't.

Witch Hunt is apparently not canon, which is why none of those events are recorded in DA2.

Not true. The list of imported plot points includes Vigil's Keep, Shale, and whether you burned Cailin's Body in Return to Ostegar. Additionally, if you ask the bartender about the news enough times, then eventually he'll mention that there's been a sudden decline in the pigeon population in Ferelden. Apparently Shale's been a bit busy exacting her revenge...
It's unknown whether or not the game imports anything from Golems or Witch Hunt, though the developers have said that at present none of the plot flags check those two DLC (Return to Ostegar also apparently isn't checked right now even though it turns up on the list of imported plot items).

If Merrill recovered all of the pieces of the broken Eluvian in the Dalish Origin, why were there any shards left for the Warden to use in WH?
How would the demon use the Eluvian to enter Merrill's mind? I thought they lead somewhere beyond the Fade? Plus the spirit was bound in stone anyway so how could it escape using it in the first place?
