Well, I just finished my 'first' play through of DA 2 as a Warrior. And might I say Bravo.

Great story, great combat, superb voice acting, many more armor and weapon selections throughout the game, better graphics the eyes seem to actually pop now, witty conversations some of the things Hawke says are just fantastic and to sum it up just amazing.

I've played Dragon Age: Origins and all it's DLC + Awakening and might I say it doesn't even come close. Mind you I do need to go back and speed through it in order to get a new, more desirable back story again.

Some things I need to do and want to try next time around:

1. Start a romance with one of the female characters. I missed my chance the first time and would like to bed someone next time around. (not sure how quite yet though)

2. Let my sister come with me to the Deeproads. I heard Varric say "He wouldn't have brought his sister" and I'm all like **** f9.

3. Don't help Anders and Merrill be idiots again. Like honestly, those kids.

And much more!

So, honestly, what did you think about the game, or if you haven't beaten the game, what do you think so far? What are your second, or maybe third goals for play throughs. And if you know how to sex da ladies drop some info here!

If you're going to bring Bethany in the deep roads, bring Anders too.

Bravo? Really? I find the story to be completely unbelievable. My family and I have just barely survived the Blight, washed ashore in Kirkwall without a copper to our name, and what do I end up doing most of the time? Dragging my sister (or one of 3 mages) around and getting in Templar faces. FFS, if I had any sense at all, I'd be avoiding placing my family in danger.

There is no way I can play the game avoiding the ONLY thing that any reasonable player would try to avoid. 1990's game mechanics aside, my suspension of disbelief was blown the first time I was FORCED to interact with templars just to movet he story along.

I'm on my second play through now - hoping that a different class/decision tree would make the difference. I just quit in disgust at being forced to do 'Wayward Son' and 'Shepherding Wolves' As an apostate, would I really go to the gallows - the center of the Templar power in Kirkwall - seriously?

The plot layout for this game feels like it was done on the back of a cocktail napkin. Let's not even start in about the First Enchanter fight. How absolutely fail.

You're just too hung up on Logic, you gotta move past that.

OP, don't even bother with playing through DA:O and Awakenings again... very little you did there even matters. The Architect is bugged (devs confirmed this), and some decisions are outright ignored (my two cents).

Anyway, the story was alright. I was kind of confused by all the fuss over mages though. I was playing as a mage and nobody noticed. Templars didn't try to arrest me and take me to the Circle... they just let an apostate run wild and become Champion? Hm... And what's the deal with Blood Magic? Hawke fights blood mages, he condems blood mages, the templars tell him about how evil blood magic is... but he WAS a blood mage! Why didn't that matter at all? Hell, nobody mentioned it for the entire game, not even the big bad Knight Commander... lol. Silly.

I also want to say that the First Enchanter fight was lame. I saw him transform and I was like, "Cool, now let's go kick some templar butt!" And he attacked me for no reason... yeah okay...

The story wasn't all bad though... Aveline was an interesting character, and Varric's dealings with Bartrand were suitably dramatic. To be honest, I don't even care about this story. Half of it will be revealed as lies in DA3 so that Bioware can tell the next chapter in the history of Thedas, and when I realized that, I became far less personally involved. DA:O was much better, even if I have no choice but to view it as a stand-alone title with NO continuation, no matter how many Dragon Age games are made.

The only aspect of this game that was thoroughly enjoyable was the combat. That's the only reason I'm even interested in a second playthrough.
