Why am I stressing? I just had a great idea!

I'm going to contact D2D today and attempt a refund, I was wondering if anyone has attempted this with any
luck.
Next step is to cancel the transaction with my credit card company if they arent able to refund so I can get my money back.
Any ideas, experiences, suggestions you have are greatly appreciated.

If i remember right D2D says the game is not eligible for a refund when you purchased it.

UGG!
You're right!
However, as with most legal monetary transactions, a "No Refund" clause is only binding when the product itself is "good working order". DA2 is hardly that, so I think I may be able to go that route.
I'll contact my legal dept to confirm, will get back to you.
Thanks for the heads up!
:)

DA2 works just fine for me, and I am not running a machine that is at all special.

You have no hope on a "fit for purpose" claim. Because you have isolated issues and don't like the game ain't going to enable you to do anything with D2D.

And your "legal dept" must be really bored and idle if they waste their time on a question like this.

I lol'd

I don't have a "fit for purpose issue", the other poster does, friend.
:)
Mine is no mere "caveat emptor" while we are at it.
I purchased  good(s) purporting to of sound design and of reasonable funtionality;  it (they)was(were) not delivered ( game does not start)
The exchange of currency was made in good faith that the aforementioned goods would be delivered; they were not. (at all)

On the other hand, my friend who wants a refund after playing may have a different case, he has received the product.

Basically I bought a desktop icon that when clicked opens a beige box with a pretty dragon on it.
The writing on the box tells me I do not have admin rights to play ( I received no product) :innocent:

I'll post the email from D2D when I get it and we can all pretend to be attorneys in a mock-trial!

Im not stressing it it will be fixed eventually it's just the principal sir. :)

I ran into an issue like this with another game which really was not "fit for purpose". I could not even get it to install due to mislabeled disks, missing disks, manual not about the game (in every box), stuff like that. I tried to return it to where I bought it, they claimed their return policy precluded me returning it and I have to take it up with the manufacturer, manufacturer claimed I have to return it to the store. Pretty much they both ran me into loops till the 30 day return period was up and I couldn't. Yea it sucked.

That's one good reason why a credit card purchase works so well, as a consumer we are protected under federal and state laws for "mislabeled" and "unfinished product purchase" laws,..yay!
I found out that if the entity we purchased the product from does not/cannot refund then we can cancel it LEGALLY through our credit card company/bank/credit union.
At least we can get our money back, my Credit union opens back up on Monday.
Full refund inc!
