My laptop crashed when I was playing DAII due to overheating. When I rebooted it and opened up the game, all my progress was gone, even the video settings I'd set. Does anyone know any way to recover my save files? Also does anyone know where the save files are located? (It's direct download version btw...) Thanks for any help!

If there are save folders in there (named Slot_1, Slot_2, etc.) and they contain at least files "<save name>.das" and "<save name>.dat.met" that aren't corrupt, then the game will
see them and be able to load them. A single corrupted save does NOT affect loading any valid saves.
